Well to be fair in terms of depth, LSU lost 15-16 PPG worth of production and and two players (Smith and Poole) who averaged double digit minutes earlier in the year. But I’m sure they will fill up the roster a bit more moving forward whether it’s HS or from the portal. We entered the season with 12 scholarship players when we can use up to 15. I’m not gonna make Poole to be a savior but she is a senior who was a big part of our title run and provided depth. And Smith was having a major season taking that jump similar to Sa’Myah.

We need to re recruit the current team and then build in the portal for the best players. Worry about a HS class once big 4 is in her last year. Hard to find PT for the girls right now. We have a stacked team.

He needs to take “recruiting extraordinaire” out of his bio. Yes, we can still win it all with players out of the portal but he’s swinging and missing on ALL the hs recruits

I'm not panicking yet. One year is an aberration and if you look at our roster, there aren't many spots at this very second, and we have 3 freshmen that aren't contributing much.

CKM has a documented coaching record of over 40 yrs, with National Championships at 2 different universities. Safe to assume she knows what she's doing; and / or, with her record of success, it's ridiculous to start to worry after only 1 recruiting class, one that's not even over.

I don't blame the kid for wanting to stay close to home. In fact, I kinda admire it. I hope she ends up at Duke if not LSU. With that being said, now it's just a matter of time to see who we pick up in the portal. It'll depend on if Reese and Van Lith come back. If they do, we only need a couple of pickups. If they don't, we may need to add 4-5.
