Not goin to lie this is not a good look for him or Mulkey for that matter. 0 for 4 after a championship. Almost unheard of. Meanwhile Dawn class is top 5. Someone pointed out that the continued bad press Mulkey gets (even tho is complete bullshite)might one day catch up to her. Something to think about. This next recruiting cycle will tell the story. If they whiff again then I’ll start ringing the panic button

In this new era of NIL and portal no need to panic. Players that hit the portal that didn't get exposure but was really good like Morrow would love to come to LSU.

Well, you got Richard and Smith (coming back off injury).
Morrow coming back plus those 2 puts you in a really good spot. Not gonna panic yet, but should start to see the sweat form atleast.
Yes, Mulkey's rep is 100% the cause of this. It's 100% manageable though, so we gotta see.

Well trolling aside let’s lay out the true reason why. Their recruiting list was not realistic and attainable.
Joyce Edwards lives 20 min from the SC campus
Cambridge wanted to play with her sister at Ohio state.
Koval was a European national who stated multiple times academics was her biggest factor choosing a school.
The only one who was realistically attainable was Strong and she hasn’t decided.
Part of recruiting is going after people who are realistic and the 2024 class was not realistic from start to finish. They stopped recruiting Shaqs daughter mid summer and she was a top 40 recruit.

Although it would suck to only get on recruit for this recruiting cycle, we did get the #1 class last season and those players will be sophomores. We'll be fine because we have Williams, Johnson, Morrow, Smith, and Del Rosario coming back, not to mention some big names we'll probably get in the portal. We're good. We can't afford to go TWO straight years without a good HS recruiting class though.
