Diehard, Prevot is the least likely in comparison of Gilmore, williams, crayon, and pagano via twitter comments IMO. Not that that means much.

And Lewis and Quan from NC seem higher on us as DEs than Prevot eventhough his entire family is from La.

Williams, Jones and Smith, in that order are must haves IMO. We'd be fine using Beckwith and Jefferson's schollies on out of staters this year. That would leave room for RN, Gilmore, Pagano, Priest, Tahaan, Robinson, Another OT(Tunsil?, highly unlikely), and hopefully Anthony Jennings or Buchanan, who I believe have more upside than JT Barrett. I don't know that Prevot makes it in. Maybe we can see if Karl Malone would allow KJ to take a greyshirt so we can add a center to the class. We could maybe sell him on this being one of the greatest classes in LSU history, but he still probably wouldn't bite.

Honestly all I can give is the possibilities. I definitely think we'll take the most allowed which I think for us this year is 26(24 last year so 1 backcounter). As it is now, we may have to turn down kids. Usually never works out that way but I can see it this year.

Commits-14
QB Rettig
WR Baker
WR Leslie
WR Diarse
TE Stokes
OL Boutte
OL Pocic
OL Malone
DE Herron
DE Patterson
DT Lawson
CB Brazil
Ath White
S Cutrer

Possibilities

QB-it seems we will take 2 if we can
Kincaide/Sandberg/Jennings

RB-we're gonna take 1
Taylor/Ryan Green/the small kid from TN/Kailo Moore

WR-we will take at least 1 more
Parker/Rumph/Christy/secret guy that some know about and some don't. Would be huge

TE
Smith plain and simple
McNeil is possible but I don't see it

OL
Tenzeno, the Texas kid we want at C
Tunsil is on the board

DE
Williams/Prevot are the 2 top guys
Neal/Lewis/Bower

DT
Gilmore
Pagano/Vanderdoes/Nkemdiche/Manning/Crayton

LB
Jones
Beckwith

CB
Jefferson
Willis/Woods/Ellis/Robinson/a couple of other FL guys/Smith

S
Goodman/Couple of FL kids

Just looking at those and where we currently stand for some of them, some of us are going to be disapointed with how some positions break down either by taking too many at a couple or too few at a couple. DL is thr priority and will get at least 7 spots if the guys are there to take. With our want of another QB, a RB, another WR, another OL and the 2 LBs, DB may not have as many guys as we have all expected unless Diarse plays S. Definitely going to be a great class and overall we'll all be very happy but some guys we all want are not going to have a spot. Good problem to have but we have to make sure we're choosing the right ones.

Very well said va. I really do hope Buchanan gets a look though. He reminds me of Colt McCoy.

God I hope we get Goodman. I think safety will be our biggest need when it get close to Feb.

Cutrer said he projects as a CB in an interview on rivals a while back.

Watch that kids film. He projects to all the DB positions in my opinion.

I am the most interested in Goodman. Is it really a LSU USC battle?

WE HAVE TO FINISH WITH THE LA 5. Williams, Jones, Beckwith, Jefferson, and Smith

I honestly think Williams & Smith are the only two LSU really has to get and Williams is the one I would be mad over not getting.

Really want Gilmore & Prevot, who we have a great chance with, as bad as any of the Louisiana kids. Jones & Beckwith both want to play LB and we signed seven LB's last year.

It's hypocritical for us to want our coaches to go get great players from OOS while expecting them to keep every Louisiana kid.

I dunno how people got into this line of thinking about Beckwith being so easily replaceable.

To our staff, he is a huge priority. I agree with that having seen only his highlights. Although less versatile, he is better than Melvin Jones as an LB'er...although I view Jones as a perfect MLB and Beckwith as an OLB.

I think there are absolute takes on this list regardless of situation. Then u start looking at our needs versus best available. Honestly there is a need for at least 1 player at DT DE CB S OL, then u start to think about what else fits best. We need more DL and we have huge names left on that list. So as commits start eating into the overall number you have to start asking what is vital to get in this class and where do the coaches project these players. WR or CB or S. Will it be DE or OLB or MLB. I think as numbers dwindle u take best available.

This would be my realistic ideal finish minus Robert Nkemdiche ....

QB Rettig
WR Baker
WR Leslie
WR Diarse
WR Kyrion Parker
TE Stokes
TE Desean Smith
OL Boutte
OL Pocic
OL Malone
OL Tyler Tezeno
LB Kendell Beckwith
LB Melvin Jones

DE Herron
DE Patterson
DE Tim Williams
DE Torrodney Prevot

DT Lawson
DT Greg Gilmore
DT Scott Pagano

CB Brazil
CB Priest Willis
S Cutrer
S Tahaan Goodmen
ATH White

Now thats 25 and I dont know if we are going to get there with numbers but its just a guess.
