Id put us around 12-16 for the 247 composite. Coaches took a lot of project kids with little room to climb in the rankings.

for a coaches first full recruiting cycle, this is pretty concerning. Wasn't a big part of hiring Coach O done on the promise of great recruiting?

In state talent is not good at all this year. Next year it'll pick up a bit. The 2019 class is set to be pretty huge for us.

I expect between 5 and 12. It's still way to early to tell though. Our 247 only team ranking is holding strong at 5 (230.44), but our composite ranking has been declining lately. It would be nice to know what's driving that. Curry and Baskerville are no longer 4* on composite.

I agree that finishing 12-16 will be disappointing, but I try not to make judgments on works in progress. I assume that there are some guys committed who won't stick and some guys that we've barely even heard about who will end up in this class. It seems like I've read 3 or 4 articles in the past few weeks about guys who were nowhere near my radar that are high on us.

I believe there is a ton of negative recruiting that is happening against an unproven coach that hasn't been a full time defensive or offensive coordinator.
They are using "Canada will be gone in a year or 2 or Arranda is great, but will he be around for much longer? " Look at his ole miss record.".

This can't be underestimated IMO.

Dont forget, we have had several coaching changes over the last 1.5 years. Things will most certainly pick up year 2.

This year, I have my mind on 15. Thinking this way so I wont flip if we land 12-15.
Anything in top 10 will make me very happy.

Still 6.5 months before signing date
We did not start the season yet
If we come out with swagger and a new cool style 4 & 5 star kids will line up
Some of our recruits will show out this High School season and gain a star
Believe in O and his staff

This class is better than you all think- Travez Moore (Beast), David Cotton, Micah Baskerville, Jenkins, Curry all solid players. Chasen Hines (Bulldozer) and Dare Rosenthal (A man!). WR seem OK and not elite but you never know with that position.

We hold on to the above core guys, get Surtain, Marshall and another 5 star = 3 of them then those recruiting ranking will jump up.

My prediction is 6 highest and 12 lowest. We come in at #8 in 2018 and 2019 #2. That will hold the ship in a straight line.

With a good season we will finish just as strong as anyone IMO. 5-7 finish solid class.
