Even if LSU were to make the playoff and got all the top prospects left on their board this class would still be on the fence at being a top 10 class. There are simply to many project kids already taken in this class.

From here on out LSU would have to only take 4 star recruits or better then drop 4 or 5 of these 3 star kids and replace them with 4 star guys to make it in the top 5.

Louisiana has had a really bad year of talent for 2018 but instead of the coaches trying to go outside the state to find 4 stars to supplement the lack of talent they have decided to take chances on good not great kids from Louisiana.

This is not something that LSU fans are use to in the last 10-12 years.

The instate talent is fine. O is just letting the top talent leave the state and not doing a good enough job recruiting.

This is false. We have the exact anount of 3* commits that LSU has every year at this time. Some will likely rise, maybe not to 4* status but would still help the overall ranking in the end.

If LSU closes out with (3) to (4) 5* recruits then sign more high 4* guys it could easily finish in the top 5. With the talent we signed in 16, 17, then close strong in 18, to add to the 19 class which is shaping up to be strong, this team will have some of the best talent ever assembled at LSU in a 4 year period. Just watch a learn. All the people freaking out over NOTHING are going to look pretty damn stupid real soon.
