Ricks is unproven talent like Harris was. BK isn’t over paying. Ricks had a price and like Heard did. LSU didn’t think he was worth said price given what else we’ve gotten and what more may come. It wasn’t that they didn’t want him, they didn’t think it was worth it.

Harris was at least playing at an elite level as a freshman, Ricks rode the bench after reclassifying.

It’s not about money. He needs to feel at home and taken care of and in the best position to succeed after college. It will be a tough pull but this could be the 5/5 that Shea never had

We don’t expect him to flip to Georgia being so far away so we have to see how that last visit at A&M goes.

Could see Gordon pulling some strings behind the scenes to get Bussey to BR, like he did with another five star that was committed to Aggie — Harold Perkins Jr.

Where he will get to experience winning 8 games in one season tops AT BEST. Trash program will never win anything.

Nope. No reason to and no room to.

I don't see how the would let Bussey go without a record NIL offer. He would have to just want to be at LSU. Don't see us outbidding them at all.

If it was only about NIL you would be right but its not about just the biggest NIL deal.

I can’t believe you believe we were outbid. We got 3 number 1’s in 2025. You think that was free?

Just because a guy says I want 1 mil and we say no doesn’t mean we were outbid. It means he’s not worth it.

Not necessarily. We may think he is worth it but not pay because we want other guys more. The funds are not unlimited. Choices have to be made. We surely are getting outbid on some players.

A&M was willing to outbid us for ricks

We were not outbid. Price was given and LSU said no thanks. They are prioritizing the roster over the player. Same reason Heard left. Talent has to justify the price. Ricks played 10 snaps in CFB. He’s not Downs or Stingley.

We understand Bussey may want to play defense or offense. Look at the coaches on both sides of the field. Look at the future teammates. A slight difference in NIL for such an incredible athlete. If he was taught to look at the big picture, it is not unfathomable that he ends up in P&G.

I have a feeling CBK is saving some of the NIL money for this kid. He’s more than just a good DB. You can use him in so many ways depending on need and scheme. That makes him more valuable, IMO.

2025 is a long way away. Bags will be coming out of the woodwork this time next year for them. Hope we keep them all, but as little success we are having this year, I am not as optimistic as I would like to be for them.

I’ll put a hypothetical out there to consider. Knowing how things work now, if you wanted to try and maximize the NIL deal you could get, how would you play it? I mean, we look at it from a die hard fan’s perspective, thinking these kids shouldn’t be out for money, but the monetary worth/value of every employee, business, product, and person is established by what people are willing to pay. I hate the team hopping, tampering, and other crap in the way that it has affected the college sports I love. I wish college athletics had never gone down this path but it was just a matter of time. I don’t blame the players, although many are going to be making mistakes due to the lure of money. Most recruits are not getting a big some of money and can more easily sign with a school for the same reasons as kids have always signed; however, the market for the big fish is no joke. Many highly rated recruits never make it to, or in, the NFL, so NIL money is huge for them.

LSU flipped multiple aggie commitments in this recruiting cycle.

LSU just needs to get him to commit when he comes and visits. Cancel his Texas A&M visit

Scott Long from Dandy Don seems to think we may lead for Bussey. He usually has pretty good intel.
