We have been recruiting him the longest. If Jimbo and rushing were still at A&M I would say we have no shot. He has been to our campus multiple times. LSU has nothing but big names here recently. Just feel like this is the final boom for the 24 class. 24 will be the start of national championship classes

It seems like there’s a good chance that Bussey will be a Tiger.
I live in Texas and have heard about him all season long. After seeing the state championship game, I knew he deserved his high ratings.
It seems LSU has done plenty on the recruiting front to land him on National Signing Day.

How are you guys feeling on him? UGA visited yesterday and he’s coming for a visit this weekend. After hearing his story, I just want him to go somewhere and be successful.

We feel more confident than we did with him expected to sign earlier and pushing his recruitment back.
With that being said, I’m not sure anyone has a clue. His recruitment has been quiet. We’re hoping to flip him to finish our hit on A&Ms recruiting class taking Davis, McKinley, Echols and Reliford from them.

The Ricks situation and Bussey's recruitment have very little to do with one another.
Ricks wanted starting SEC CB caliber money with no film of him being that, with 1 year less of eligibility.
Bussey and his camp are fully aware of the value LSU provides beyond the up front NIL money.

I’m sorry, I just can’t let it go. Is your reading comprehension really that bad that you didn’t understand this is exactly what I said? He was asking for TOO much. Implying he was asking for more than he is worth, hence “too”. No wonder people make fun of us so much, got mfr’s like you going around all willy nilly talking to normal people.

Harris was a mid-season All American as a true freshman before his antics got him suspended. Ricks barely saw the field his freshman year. NIL for Harris was far more justified at the time of their respective transfers and I don’t even know if Harris got any.
With our scholarship numbers, we’re only taking guys that are all but guaranteed to start or contribute significantly in their first year on campus.
Ricks not evening cracking the 2-deep as a 5 star does not scream immediate contributor. Not saying he won’t pan out but we’ve got a lot of Louisiana talent coming over the next 3 years and we’ll need to manage our numbers accordingly.
