Biggest void in production & experience comes at QB & WR.

Safety is the most pressing, in terms of talent.

Those are all three at the top by themselves

In a perfect world whatever NIL deal you were putting together for transfer DTs just give that to Wingo, Smith, and Guillory.

Interested to see what Patrick Jenkins does too.

Unit should improve with Wingo & Smith fully healthy & recovered

this is my question, if Smith was not completely healthy this season and he was injured earlier in the season than Wingo, what makes you think that Wingo will be "fully healthy".

bottom line is that these two guys (Wingo and Smith) are the biggest recruits this offseason. If they are healthy, dline is in decent shape. if one or more is not ready, not healthy, etc. the unit begins to slide back to not so good.

Smith looked much better at end of season. It took him a while to get fully back

Not sure what that has to do with Wingo, who is already back working out

I don’t know exactly what Wingo’s injury was other than “lower body.” But from what’s been reported, it sounds like he played through it for several weeks before deciding on surgery. Additionally, it’s apparently a 6 week recovery.

Just pointing out that whatever the specific injury, it’s clearly not as severe as Smith’s ACL tear. Granted, you never truly know how guys will come back from any injury.

The portal is not always just for the next year. Even if Wingo and Smith come back and are healthy, they will definitely be gone the following year.

Our DL recruiting has been weak the last couple years, so I think we need some DT transfers that have at least two years left of eligibility.

1. S - 1
2. CB - 2
3. QB -1
4. LB - 1
5. DT - 1-2 - depending on who returns
6. WR - 1
7. RB - 1 (if Diggs or Williams don't return)
8. Edge - 1

I'd also take an OL if a good one came available.

I didn't know Bradford was leaving, so we definitely need a RB now.

DT 2
CB 2
S 1
RB 1
QB 1
All also go with the best player available as the 8th spot.

Seems like a great kid, but shouldn't ever get material playing time for LSU football again. He's very bad.

Julian Fleming from OSU is in the portal with 1 year of eligibility left. Anyone know ehy is he leaving OSU as the lone returning starting wr?

Damn, OSU got 10 going to the portal since last week and no coaching changes. That included starters and guys in their 2 deep, somethings up over there

I think Day is shedding players and will be a major portal shopper.

He knows he needs to beat Michigan next year.

Smith is bad. Unless a new DC/DL coach somehow get more out of him, he is a huge bust.
