Kevin Foote has an LSU assistant you guys love to hate as one of the frontrunners for the Cajuns' job.

Brooke Ellestad just announced too.

I saw Foote's article on 'potential' replacements. Some of those were a stretch...

Tough time to be a UL fan.
Roster leaking like a sieve.... and they might hire an assistant from LSU (which would be to the delight of Tiger fans)

Oh, OK.
I'm definitely not informed on the subject.
I like UL softball, but I don't have a lot of knowledge about the program.

Good player and not that bad-looking either

Im sure they will make a good hire but yeah I guess its reasonable to first look at the Louisiana connections first.
I thought Alyson Habetz retired to take care of her elderly mom

She did. She’s not returning to softball anytime soon.

While I suspect you are right, UL would be a very convenient place for her to see if she can do both and still keep her mom close to her family. I do not expect that, to be clear.

They just named Habetz as their head coach today

The Cajuns have traditionally had a good hitting program. I think they knew better than to hire Dobson.

I’m glad she was offered and decided to take it. I just didn’t think she would have been ready to come back to coaching so soon. I’m sure it pulled at her heart strings to coach at UL. I have a feeling those who entered the portal may pull their names out now.

I have rarely been so glad to have been wrong.

That’s as great of a hire as ULL possibly could have made. I’m confused as to why Glasco took a job with such a low ceiling at his age.

He recruits Texas kids any way, more resources at Texas Tech…

I did not realize he was in his 60s to be honest. At 62 I’m not sure he’s going to be making anymore career changes. Solid coach for sure and obviously Tech has made some assurances for him. But like someone previously mentioned-I would think some other big programs put feelers out while he was at ULL so I wonder what the change was

I didn’t realize he was that old, it’s his last stop for sure, maybe financial??
