What I'm saying is you must check this board a lot.

Cant just be a coincidence the one time you check it is the day ewers commits

Quinn was never going to LSU. You’re just here to boast off a posters post that wasn’t necessary. I don’t know why this thread was started. . Congrats on your pick up.

Chalky this isn’t his fault. He should celebrate.

Crazy how all the top schools get all the 5 star can't miss QBs. Clemson's worst QB play this past decade was the one year they didn't have a 5 star QB. Oklahoma has now gotten back to back 5 star QBs after having 5 straight year of transfer QBs (two of which are starting in the NFL). UGA got Fields and then Vandagriff. Bama got Tua and then Bryce Young, and now Ohio St gets transfer Fields, Mccord, and this Ewers kid (possibly).

I don't think Fields is gonna bust.... he may not become a HOFer, but he'll likely have a pretty good career

I agree with you

LSU had a good chance with Williams. However many here didn't want him. They preferred Nuss. They didn't want Fields either. They preferred to pass on those two five stars. Felt they wouldn't fit the LSU system.

What's scary about this massive committment are implications a domino effect has potentially been opened with numerous 5*stars following Ewers to OSU.... to wit, Caleb Burton from Texas, Domani Jackson from Cali, and two or three others. As good as a recruiter that Meyers was, Day and staff are his equal, maybe better.

What????? I'm sorry but a generational talent like Fields could fit into any system.

2021 Nussmeier is the #8 QB
2022 Howard is the #3
2023 Never say never, we could land Arch the #1 QB

Either way, it will be quite a while before there are any questions about what LSU is going to do about the QB position.

Exactly! I guarantee you there are some right now who wouldn't want him. Sort of like a lot didn't want D'Eriq King to transfer here. With Williams, Fields and King, to justify being against each coming to LSU, they claimed each had bad attitude problems. They were highly inaccurate and somehow they didn't fit the LSU system. Sort of how they did with Finley.

I thought if they didn't commit to LSU it didn't belong on this board.

I don't remember many fans not wanting Fields. I think the vast majority would be pumped if he had transferred here. I wasn't sold on King, but he's done much better than I expected. I thought he was too small and his success at Houston wouldn't translate to a P5 school. I was definitely wrong on him.

Finley's worked his tail off to get in shape, lose some of the weight, get his footwork improved and learn the playbook. He had a rough outing vs Auburn, but I respect the fact that he's obviously working hard to develop. He picked up the playbook faster than Max and has earned the start.

Caleb Williams vs Nussmeier. The biggest issue in this recruiting battle was we knew one player wanted to be at LSU and the other was "considering" committing. If it came down to the 2 Williams had the most upside so he would be the logical choice, but knowing he was likely not coming here Nuss gets the praise and Williams' game gets more scrutiny. That being said, I fully expect Williams to have huge success at OU.

If you think about it,even now ,Its not crazy to think we didnt need deriq king. When myles was playing, he was every bit as good as king and definitely a better pocket passer.
We needed a backup qb to transfer in ,like a jt Daniel's. He starts Saturday ,I think,so we will know more then .

My point is the people that thought Myles would be just fine and a better option then a mid to above average level transfer qb,were right. He just got hurt.

How many times did we say ,lsu is screwed if Myles gets hurt,we all knew that, and it happened.
We should have tried to get Daniel's or someone that wouldnt cause a qb controversy. You know ,after week 1, it would have been a controversy no matter what qb transfer in though lol

Perhaps and although I hate that Myles is hurt, I like Finley and possibly Max getting reps. The season is a bust so as it stands the main thing is to develop the talent we have and continue to recruit for the future.

I live in Athens and my fiancé is a dawg.
I hang around die hard Georgia fans every weekend

Something is wrong with JT mentally. That's why Kirby hasn't started him. He just wasn't jiving at practice and he's terrified of getting reinsured.

With him starting this weekend it's essentially put up or shut up on his part.

It's been an odd football season for sure but JT isn't what everyone on this board thinks he is.

Based on what I've heard I'd be shocked if he plays the whole game Saturday. This is Kirby just trying to show face and settle down the crowd but he knows JT isn't the answe.

Not saying you are wrong, but I still don't get why people love D'Eriq King so much. The man's stats against an average ACC schedule are not any better than Brennan's, plus he and Miami looked like a JV squad against Clemson until they took the foot off the pedal. He's a solid/good QB, but LSU did not miss out on anything there. Also Fields was never coming to LSU.
