Pretty amazing job for a coach and staff who’ve only been together for like 2 months

They did a great job. We need to shore up some things regarding NIL, but ultimately this class is very good all things considered.

Lol, you really think Jimbo learned how to recruit the best class of all time this year? Unless LSU comes up with a huge plan to try and compete with nil not much will change. You can have the best eyes in the world for talent but it’s obviously about a paycheck these days and LSU doesn’t have a plan in place to make it happen.

It’s year 1. Can’t really make a judgement on Kelly and staff recruiting ability until year 2 when they actually have full time to recruit definitely not the start you would hope for though when it comes to High School recruiting especially within the state. Losing 7 of the Top 10 in state prospects in a stacked in state class with Matthews (A&M), Preston (Bama), Anderson (Bama), Law (Bama), Citizen (Miami), Moss (A&M) is a tough pill to swallow no matter how you slice it. They’ll need to do a whole hell of a lot better in the future which you’d expect they should be able to do once they’ve really got their feet on the ground. Going to have to get the NIL budget up their with the big boys too. A&M and Bama can flat out just outbid LSU and they has to change.

Solid job stabilizing the class and filling needs through the portal. Kelly and his staff are officially on the clock for the 2023 class.

Way too much talent left the state and went to division rivals this year. That's not entirely on Kelly and Co but it cant happen again. Alabama is always a thorn in our side but now Aggy is a problem in recruiting Texas that's always been a key cog for LSU.

It felt like 2022 was the perfect storm of negative factors for LSU recruiting. Back to back subpar years, firing the coaching staff and a lack of preparation in NIL. I like the staff Kelly has assembled from a recruiting stand point. Let's see how they do with a full year to work with.

Doesn’t matter. The kids aren’t going there bc of stability. Quit fooling yourself. If stability is the only case why did they just happen to sign the best class in history when all of a sudden players could make an unlimited amount of money at a school with unlimited money to spend.
