He was taking questions on Instagram. A person asked if the loss Saturday turned him off. He said no this is home. I don’t have the Instagram post. I think there is a tweet from his uncle also.

I know.

Sucks but they can't let one signing day get held hostage.

Perkins is so damn good man.
Law, wiggins, and Preston. So much talent.

A new staff can catch mad momentum if it’s the right hire

I totally agree.

This is a good year to make the change, too, since the in-state class is so deep. We may miss out on some of the top guys, but there are so many SEC quality contributors in the state who don't even have offers from LSU right now.

And some of those in-state guys like Howard and Campbell would seemingly be locked in regardless of the coach.

That’s what we sell these kids on. Coaching staff is only part of it. Knowing that O will be gone soon might help recruiting

You people are crazy! Him being gone soon will not help recruiting. These other coaches will pull the same recruiting crap on the new coach as they have on the current and past staff. The second the new coach loses a game he’s not supposed to lose, y’all will all turn on him all the same. These other SEC teams are just eating this up and they should be. Our own fans are doing their work for them. Dumb asses!

These other SEC teams have all fired coaches recently for their team underachieving, besides Alabama. And if Nick Saban lost 5 games and then the next year was well on his way to another 5 losses you’d bet your arse their fans would be questioning the goat too. You’re the dumbass for wanting to keep a coach who would put such a subpar product on the field in back to back seasons.

Consider this. This century LSU has had 3 HCs. Each coach has won a NC at LSU within their first 3-4 years at LSU.

So all we have to tell recruits is that if they sign with LSU and play 3-4 years they are guaranteed a championship. It's science.

These other coaches would leave their current job now and all wish they had an opportunity to coach at a place like LSU. The built in advantages that exist here are rivaled in very few places. You don’t negative recruit a school because they aren’t a major threat when things are humming. The rest of the conference is always nervous when we make a new hire because if it hits, they know the deal.

The negative recruiting has been extremely heavy for 2 years now between the seasons we've had, the Title IX, scholarship limitations, just overall cloud linked to Orgeron off the field, and the turnover in coaching staff (without great success).

It is not crazy to think there would be some addition by subtraction here. Obviously, not all we would want. But still, clearing the table of some of that and replacing with "hope" that the next guy will change that would be a net positive.

I think pull the trigger soon and Woodward should make it public that we're open to talking to anybody... even if not true... and see who approaches us over the remainder of the season. Just the fact that can be spun by Woodward into that "hope", again real or not, will help with recruiting AND put coaches with current jobs on notice that you do not have to wait on us to contact you if interested (just be careful and use cut-outs).
