Because it was Alabama and Saban. Don't you see how that hurts us and tickles them. This is similar to past years like a recruit was torn between LSU and Bama. O can stop this if he forgets the being nice and ask for a commitment before hand even if its not binding. But the NCAA should come up with some answer to these egotistical recruits playing the game knowing their destination beforehand because its not their money that is wasted.

If you're gonna act like a low class POS, you're gonna get treated like a low class POS. Surtain needs to be hit every snap. Let it send a message to Bama and other recruits that when you play classless games you get your shite pushed in. I'm even down for the classic overthrow to the sideline to run Sabans arse over. frick them.

You're getting one side of this, Orgeron's side, a guy that's known to lie.

It's a fact that Surtain, Jr. called him at 11:00pm the night before NSD. Too many people are reporting that, not just Orgeron.

Anyway, wtf are you doing on our board anyway? Doesn't Washington have it's own recruiting board, or is it too boring for you over there?

Now he's a groupie lol. The conversation between Saban and Surtain probably went like this..."Come on Pat, at the end of the day you will either be playing for me or Ed O. Think about that for a couple of days and get back to me."

I'd love to see what happened to Saints coach S. Peyton a few years ago happen to Nick Saban. Let him have to coach from a wheelchair for the rest of the season.

Yes you are butt hurt over a kid choosing what was best for him. Maybe he didn't know and was torn about his decision? Surtain doesn't owe you or LSU a damn thing.

RIGHT... Other than that 11pm phone call after Goodrich had moved on. Seems like a normal decision by a recruit just torn about where he's gonna "take his talents."

Dude's a groupie in the Bama/Saban cult, and should be labeled as such forever. LSU doesn't owe hime shite either, and certainly doesn't owe him any respect for the obvious bad timing. Hope that kid goes on to suck at football because he's now Tiger bait, and every LSU fan should hope he has a bad football career because it will negatively effect the king of LSU's conference/division.

College football is a big business and obviously has shifted to the "win at all costs" mantra. So if you wanna play the game like Surtain did, you need to have the consequences of hatred from those who you've stabbed in the back. As a fan of college football, it is just entertainment, but this disgust for a lack of integrity by recruits is part of the fun.

His father seemed to be very involved in the processed. We are all assuming the father is more mature than the son.

Yeah but did he just find out the night before that Surtain was having doubts? Highly unlikely.

He should've known when he didn't sign during the early signing period that something was amiss.

That is one of Alabama's favorite trolls. I remember when that pos Cam Robinson pulled the same crap. He knew for a long while that he was going to Alabama, but trolled LSU and strung them along. It's no wonder people hate Alabama with a purple passion.

Surtain, Jr. is a selfish a-hole and deserves to have Karma pay him a big visit.

Its really funny how the total POS's who help Saban and others play this game to not only hide their decision for maximum pain to LSU, but to also screw us out of other big recruits with purposeful timing, end uo getting in major trouble at some point. I think that the selfishness and self-centeredness that lets them do this spills over into their personal decisions and costs them down the road. Think of those who have done this in past years and what has happened to them..it's pretty ironic, or maybe just true karma.

That's just stupid and immature to wish bad luck on a kid because he didn't pick your school. That's somebody's son for Gods sake.

Do you have a reading comprehension problem? You must. Again, HE CALLED LSU THE NIGHT BEFORE NSD AND SUDDENLY TOLD THEM HE WASN'T COMING HERE.
If you follow recruiting, then you'd know that many recruits like to wait until NSD to make the big announcement. Surtain, Jr. let Corey Raymond think he was LSU right up until the 11th hour. An immature, dick move, without a doubt.

And what? Pull the offer from Surtain? Or fill the class and leave Surtain sitting out? Sure, hindsight is 20/20, but if the recruit is committed for years and is that good, you have to leave a spot for him. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Whether intended or not, the message to recruits like Goodrich is-- if you really want to be an LSU Tiger, commit during early signing period.

So you wish ill will on a kid because he didn't choose your favorite school? Aren't y'all the ones constantly crying about what's said on here pushing recruits away? WTF do you think saying things like that does to a potential recruitt?

Yes and you too. I'm lowering myself to the people on this board and the Bama program.

Manage your numbers better in the early signing period so you're in position to take both.

Orgeron is too infatuated with "loyalty" though. He took lesser players that LSU could've waited on or gotten similarly ranked players at NSD.
