Agreed but my only concern is how solid Taylor is with him being in Bama country. I think we could afford to lose Jenkins OR Taylor, but not both.

FWIW on Jenkins, I'm told he's got some in his corner in his ear that he should be being treated like an alpha dog like Roy and Guillory, so he needs to look around for something better. From the sounds of it, the staff has already told him "you shop, we shop" and this boat isn't waiting around on anyone this cycle.

He is going to really regret whoever is giving him this advice.

If Jenkins wants out, so be it. The real question is, who do we replace him with?

I think it’s been stated multiple times Guillory is the obvious answer

I for one hope a highly ranked offensive lineman can be signed in that spot.

If two of these three spots left in this class can be filled with offensive linemen, that would be great.

I was projecting Guillory for one of the two spots remaining even before Jenkins decommitted.

LOVE THIS!!! It's time LSU starts letting these players know it's a GREAT PRIVILEGE to be offered by LSU. With where O and staff are taking LSU into the future, they don't need to coddle no kids.

Best of luck to him if that’s where he does indeed end up.

Sonny CB’d Jenkins to TCU

Sonny changed his CB this morning after TCU insider Jeremy Clark made this call yesterday. I believe Gary Patterson sold Jenkins on immediate playing time as a true freshman. TCU has 4 DT’s on their roster (1 Sr. & 3 Jr’s) and 0 commits for 2020. If Jenkins wants immediate PT, he can walk right in and start next year. LSU has 3 DT’s committed for 2020. LSU will be fine and receive a hard commitment from a player and position they need to fill.

Not a big loss IMO.

Especially if filled with a quality player at another position like DE.

We need pass rushers.

I hate to tell him but he’s not a big fish in TCU’s pond either.

I don’t fault him though. I hope he does well wherever he signs.

Good deal. Sure hate that he’s spurning us for TCU but at least he’s spurning all those other big time offers he’s been getting too.
I read here that TCU wasn’t his best offer besides us so I know that’s gotta be true.

Best of luck to the young man!

Several people were acting like they knew something bc he “was blowing up nationally”

It’s just funny bc I knew they were wrong several days ago and now they’re nowhere to be found.

Good times man
