We've move TK McClendon and Parker from TE to Olb/DE so we have more depth for next season.

IDK. Yes, he got his 4th star, but was that more of the "LSU impact?" He's a good player, very quick, but I am not personally a fan of smaller DLs. He's 6-2, 285. LSU plays a 3-4. Where's he fit on that?

LSU recruited him when not a lot f other big programs were. He was a 3-star. He commits to LSU, gets more recognition, gets his 4-star, and moved on. I won't be heartbroken.

Respect my decision.

6-2 285 is plenty big enough for a 3-4 end. He's only a freshman. he'll probably end up 300+

Ummmm, no. 3-4 DEs are generally 6-3, 6-4 and 300+.

Also, how is a freshman in high school a class of 2020 recruit? AP classes?

I hope Pat reconsiders and returns. We need all the good DL prospects we can get!

I meant that he would be an incoming freshman next season dude. You don’t think a guy who is a well put together 285 as a high school senior won’t get above 300 pounds by the time he’s a college upperclassman? I think you are wrong.

If LSU was actively still recruiting the Warren Easton RB, he would have already committed.

read on this board that he’s got the best hands of any of our DL commits so that’s gotta be accurate even though college coaches seem to think otherwise based on who’s been offered by whom.

I don't know about you, or other college coaches, but my son and Patrick play the sam position, and I have been to several camps that Patrick along with a lot of top d line recruits, and he was either as good or better than the rest. He was gonna be a 4 star based of his performances at these camps, had little to do with his commitment to LSU. Think about it he is playing in the AA game and LSU is gonna process him? The other guys we have are that good, that we don't need a 4star AA game participant?

Hopefully SMU has changed his mind, if it’s true he’s considering TCU.

It’s not that Jenkins isn’t a god player, he is. But if LSU picks up Guillory, as most think we will, we would have a great d-line class.

I would give up Jenkins if it meant his spot opening up allowed us to add a quality offensive lineman and quality running back to this class. This class desperately needs an offensive lineman added and you need at least one running back in every class.

someone close to him gave him bad advice and told him to "open it up".

Why do some default to the idea that these recruits are always acting on advice? Can’t they just think for themselves?

FWIW on Jenkins, I'm told he's got some in his corner in his ear that he should be being treated like an alpha dog like Roy and Guillory, so he needs to look around for something better. From the sounds of it, the staff has already told him "you shop, we shop" and this boat isn't waiting around on anyone this cycle.
