Orgeron: LSU saving "at least 2, maybe 3" scholarships for transfer portal

Just now in PC introducing new defensive coaches.
Want to get linebackers and any other top ranked players.
Sounds like it's BTJ or bust.

Sounds like a good plan.

It’s a plan of necessity... Make no mistake, we are limping across the finish line yet again

In other, words not sign any of the remaining targets.

They say that Moko may not even make it to the US

Top 5 recruiting class is limping?

Other than Brian Thomas doesn't seem like their are any others names popping up that we have a shot at that would make a difference in this class is there?

Is it melt worthy or no biggie?

Super limping. I heard we might opt out next year because our limp is so bad.

It’s a good class but at this point we can go ahead and say that Orgeron routinely gets beat when its time to close on SD.

We need a CB/S, LB, and OL who can contribute in 2022. If we get those spots filled then it will be a successful class by my standards

It may stay top 5. It is barely hanging on there as it is. May drop to top 8 when all is said and done.
O was not brought in to get a top 5 class, especially after a national championship season everyone claims is the greatest ever.
Not having a top 2 class after that NC, and I don't really care about the ranking, but in overall quality is utterly absurd and a failure.
In the end, O is not even doing the one thing everyone expected of him to a top tier level. He's getting out-recruited by Smart and freaking Ryan Day.

I guess we will find out tommorrow. If we get at least 2 out of the 3 remaining targets, Savion JOnes, Kimo Makaneole, and Brian Thomas, I would say we finished the class out fairly strong.

Didn’t say anything about the class as a whole. Class as a whole is solid, but there’s some glaring holes that weren’t addressed at the end. Not the first time we have he this conversation

Except for BTJ, there is no player on the radar that I wanted to sign. I think this is good news.
In fact, signing 22 and holding at least 3 for the portal should be the standard moving forward.
It's a new recruiting world and changes to philosophy must be made.

The fact we struck out on so many OL is embarrassing.
If he would just add 2 more good (not even elite) OL recruits, it would make a great class elite. But that is a huge hole as of now.

I know that transfers can obviously fill holes in the roster and sometimes are home runs like Burrow, but to make transfers part of your master recruiting plan every single year just isn't sustainable. We also shouldn't have such glaring holes on the roster when a coach has been here this many years.

It's going to be incredibly disappointing if we lose out on Brian Thomas Jr, especially since it means he'll wind up at a divisional rival in either Alabama or A&M.

I’m fine with the class as a whole, but there is one thing that could happen tomorrow that would not only be disappointing & embarrassing, but it would be something of a bad omen moving into 2022:
Losing out on the following three (3) targets to Texas A&M:
1. Jardin Gilbert,
2. Jordan Moko, &
3. BTJ
