This is just a ridiculous take. Wofford got a ton of kids on campus this summer. He landed the top 150 Smith kid and shut down the Samoan kid after 1 visit after he got offers from Texas, Bama, UGA and was committed to Cal. 2 major wins.
He missed on the 5 stars everyone excuses as we werent gonna pay their price. Fair but not Woffords fault.
We passed on numerous developmental kids that visited without even pushing.
We missed on the 2 GA kids but not without Wofford putting us in position to have confidence with both at points. Adams is taking less money from various schools to go where he wants to be. Westerfield apparently got a little more incentive from UGA today seeing as though Shea thought he was on commit watch to us less than an hour prior to him commiitting to UGA. Again, Wofford got us in position but he doesn't write the checks. The money team passing is not a Wofford loss. He did his job getting us in the game.

Oline play has never been an issue. Coaching and play calling have been.

From the looks of things with aTm, they might have two of our last seasons OL, starting this season.

This is quite the idiotic statement.
It’s much rarer for a freshman olinemen to play than a wide receiver. Lineman usually, not always, but usually need time in the weight room to get stronger as their playing against grown men compared to the boys they just finished dominating in high school

And they both will be greatly improved now that they have a real OL coach and not a guy just screaming at them to work harder.

The OL coach at aTm doesn’t have anything close to the SEC and NFL coaching experience, of LSU’s two .

I mean good god can the staff get a season to prove something first? Most 2027 guys were locked in or at least had their top few schools before this staff arrived. Relax.

I agree Eric and Olsen are trash recruiters that need assistance from others to build their room.

I get your point, but disagree. OL needs time to gel, but that can occur thru an off-season and one or two real games. Game experience and competition matters, and OL players benefit greatly from being a year or two older. OL is a good position to bolster thru the portal.

If your original post wasn't wrong enough since we have 2 OL commits, not 1; lets see what your take is on portal OLinemen after you see what Jordan Seaton does for us this season after the disaster at LT we had last year.
We arent done on the OL recruiting either, it's July. I would expect they take 1 more at least if not 2. The portal will always be a tool we use to supplement high school recruiting. You dont turn down adding a guy like Seaton if you can. Miles Frazier was also a really successful portal add on the OL from the past.
Nobody is arguing we should just recruit an entire starting 5 each year on the OL, but long gone are the days of just always relying on high school kids to develop naturally without having plug and play options ready and available. We just churned through a bunch of our high school kids because the new coach frankly didnt think they were up to snuff for the most part and went portal heavy to get guys he thinks he can become a good OL. We had probably the worst OL I can remember this past season and it wasnt due to the portal adds that played a lot really at all. It was a bunch of disappointing guys we took out of high school.

What is your take on the star ratings for high school OL recruits. We offered a bunch of local 3 stars in the 2028 class this summer, but isn’t that a position where the star ratings miss the most? We could have some under the radar studs coming in that grew up LSU fans. My point is - everyone needs to trust the process and give the staff a chance.

We signed Jordan Seaton and completely revamped our OL a few months ago. Let’s not bitch about oline recruiting.
