I know Eric Wolford has only been here a few months but man he is so bad at recruiting. We have 1 OL commit, that is not how championship programs are built. A kid just just chose to commit to Georgia who already has 6 OT commits over us and we have 0 OT commits

Not gonna lie. I would prefer experienced portal players for the o line.

Gotta remember Kiffin's recruiting philosophy - not going to spend big bucks on a high school player unless they KNOW he is going to contribute right away

You can’t attack OL in portal like you can other positions. You actually need guys to develop in your system, a wr from BS state doesn’t translate the same way a LT from BS state does.

Some of our "fans" suck so hard

Well first we have 2 OL commits (Terrance Smith #5 OT and Siale OT). They are also pushing for Kelsey Adams who has a predicted flip from UGA to LSU.
They only have 16 commits total and 2 OL so it's certainly being addressed comparatively. As for portal vs HS, historically true FR rarely start at OL. The portal OL adds include a lot of multiple eligibility year players with starting P4 experience.
Bottom line, I think the staff has a pretty solid grasp of what they're doing.

I guess the fact they signed all of those portal players doesn’t count as ability to recruit.

How? Why?

Seemed to do pretty well this cycle

You mean the same offensive coaching staff that had a revolving door on offense due to the portal, yet still maintained a top 5 rushing offense in the SEC? We hired Kiffin because he knows how to run an offense and manage the portal. Let the man do his job and quit your whining.

LSU secured the nation's No. 1 college football transfer portal class, which is widely considered one of the best in history.
The historic haul features over 40 additions, including highly rated prospects and position leaders who bring substantial remaining eligibility
.Key Highlights of the Class:Top Quarterback & Offensive Line Additions: Headlining the transfer group are QB Sam Leavitt and highly sought-after tackle Jordan Seaton.

the ones i find interesting are A&M.... they have like 4 of the top OT in this class committed... either they are going to be shuffling some of those guys to G, and hope they all stick, or they will lose them once they realized they are buried on the depth chart behind their fellow incoming freshmen OT....
i just think this a glut that will end up backfiring for them in the long run... but then again, that's happened to them before and they apparently didn't learn their lesson the last time

You actually couldn’t be more wrong if you tried. If you don’t believe me then read BayouCowboys reply that is a little above mine. Don’t know how you can argue with that.

I will be glad to forward your post to Lane so he knows what a poor job they are doing. He will give it his immediate attention I am sure.

In all seriousness we signed some very young players in the portal and have more than enough bodies on the OL. Have to access who develops and leaves after the season but we shouldn’t need that many signees. Needed some OT and they are addressing that. We will not give a G money like he is a LT.
