He's a JUCO guy... 6'8" 310 lbs.

Who's the last HUCO football transfer to have an impact here?

Ali Gaye, Damien Lewis, Traore was a decent swing piece in 19.

Might we worth it to take a chance on Juco guys if the ruling actually holds up and they get 5 more years to play.

Just how soft does an Olineman have to be to be that big and not even having one d1 offer ?

Ali Gaye, Damien Lewis, Claude Wroten, Demetrius Byrd, etc. You can definitely get good guys from JUCO.

With the recent rulings on eligibility, expect to see more of them going forward. Why go and sit on the bench in the G5 or be buried deep at a P4 to develop when you can go spend a couple of years getting better and not burning eligibility and then look for a FBS gig? A lot of guys who need a little more time to develop will probably take the JUCO route now.

Look up two posts, dumbass. He was primarily a basketball player. OL isn’t a casual position. It requires technique and strength training, and a guy focused on hoops can’t work on them during basketball season.

Mississippi St offered him a few days back. Brad Davis clearly sees something from his freshmen year tape at Co-Lin that he could be a player in 2026 and beyond. We rarely offer JUCO players and when we do it's usually not quite this early.

Hudl film from JUCO season

I doubt he would be asked to much here in 2026, you can tell he's brand new mostly to football, but the size and basketball athleticism are there. He's a guy you could look at 2027 and beyond as a contributor who seems to have high upside as a RT/LT. Just get him a full year under our strength and conditioning program plus some good coaching and then see what he can do.

I am glad to see that the staff understands the importance of the trenches on both sides and they need bodies now

You can't teach somebody to be 6-foot-8

If that were the case Jahkeem wouldn't have had any offers

Also was told Jarmaine had some injuries and minor discipline issues

You want the long arms but isn't the high center of gravity a disadvantage? I know there are some taller linemen in the NFL but I would think 6'5-6'6 would be optimal.
