Not a big surprise. I think today was his birthday, so he must have decided today was the day

It was a planned commitment date. OU is killing the DL recruiting game right now.

OU's defense is getting scary.

Burnt Vegetables might be putting together a pretty good team.

Hope they're ready for nighttime in the jungle next year.

Oklahoma has been putting dudes in the league on the d line.

Defensive head coach. Great recruiter on staff in bates. Their edge coach is a rising star supposedly.

Nil and proximity to home for some.

Okoye said in the end he wanted to stay home and Oklahoma was a school that would work for him and not the other way around.

Get this. Their head coach recruits like a dog and they have a great D line coach. Who would’ve thought??

Yep and here we are and we can't even get the big uglies in Louisiana. If things don't change on Dline recruiting soon the likes of Texas and Oklahoma will pass us by. We need a legit Dline coach and recruiter ASAP.

While this is true the timing of Jamar Cain leaving put us in a tight spot then hiring Jimmy Lindsey and him having to step away didn't help the situation.

but House and Kelly deserve some of the blame there because House wanted Cain gone. Kelly told him to look for another job and he found one.

The Lindsey thing was pure bad luck and you'll probably feel the ramifications of that for a couple of years.

When every prognosticator said Okie, why should anyone be surprised? They're not always right, but do have pretty accurate selections...

Louisiana is pretty close to some decent D linemen and OU and LSU likely have similar NIL funds.

We need a D line coach yesterday. Plain and simple.

I mean, it’s not like Jamar Cain exactly killed it on the trail last year. It seems like they told him to kick rocks because of that. Lindsey was looking good and then the health issues.

O must’ve sold this program to the devil for 2019 it seems with the sort of bad luck we’ve hit recently.

he was told to kick rocks due to his coaching ability. He was recruiting at a pretty good level. Landed Womack and Howard, national recruits who are both going to be players here. Got NIL'd on Reed. LSU was involved with a lot of DL recruits in the 23 cycle.

No evidence of this. Late offer to Reliford which will end up losing him, couldn't get McKinley to visit over the summer until the pool party, and couldn't get any dline to officially visit over the summer.

He may have turned out to be a great recruiter but in the short time he was here, he did nothing to show he was even good.

You idiots sound so damn weak to blame Ed freakn Orgeron for anything at this point is ludicrous. Y’all still saying this dudes name and you wonder why he didn’t give a damn anymore after winning a title for LSU then still having to fight the negative comments about him.

I would have stuck you all the finger too! I can’t stand this part of our fanbase. Y’all are pathetic human beings. Ed O’s fault lol. Losers!

Orgeron destroyed the program & any semblance of the winning culture after 2019, damn near seemed intentional.

Worst thing that CBK did was winning 10 games & the West last year. This caused a lot of casuals to believe Kelly had the Program completely rebuilt in ONE YEAR!! There’s still depth issues & deficiencies at many positions & filling all of those positions with quality players takes a hell of a lot longer than 18 months.
