Honestly, what do you think the coaches see in him?
And he might be better than Stephen Rivers, but that's not saying much. If Mett goes down, we're still fricked.

You might need to bump that list to 11/ maybe 20. There is a lot of competition.

We all listen to YOU, and care what YOU think, because YOU make 4+ mil/yr to know football talent and potential.

Dude, step back from the keyboard. You're being a dickhead.

i think you need to pump the brakes man... better yet, just go ahead and lock them up... you're bashing a kid (not just once, but over and over), who obviously wants to come to LSU and help the team out.. FWIW, I, along with most of the people who post on this board, trust the coaching staff's opinion and evaluation of talent way more than anything you have to say...

2nd time it counts against scholarships. He's only a JUNIOR with 3 years left. You would give up a spot for a 2014 recruit which is a loaded year for Bolden?
this is accurate and i totally agree...2014 is way to loaded to give up a scholarship...the only way it would work out is if we dont fill up the 28 players limit for 2014 and we jus ended up having some left over that have already went to Bolden

ok, i will email CLM and link him to your post so maybe he'll change his mind because you're obviously getting paid +4,000,000$ a year to make decisions like this... damn les miles must be an idiot or something....

He does not count against ANY SCHOLARSHIPS! Not in any year. This is a NCAA ruling.
Posted on 7/30/12 at 8:25 am to TigerStripes30
It isn't going to cost anyone a spot in the 2014 class. We'll still sign the limit, or somewhere near it, like we always do and the attrition will come from those already on campus like it always does.
ETA: And he won't even be here in 2014 unless he redshirts, which is extremely unlikely, so that class is irrelevant in this discussion.

He was rated highly out of HS, has a really strong arm, and started as a freshman(first in 100yrs @PSU).
He sustained a concussion, which cost him the starting position.
He wants a fresh start, needs better coaching, and will be on a team that isn't counting on him to "win" games. We saw what happened to JL and JJ when that happens. The tools and motivation are there, AND he wants to be a winner and a TIGER. Welcome Robert.

well i would but id like to educate him on the fact that it does count as a scholarship for 2014...

If a student-athlete transfers for the fall of 2012 to a school that has reached its scholarship limits, the school may exceed these numbers for the 2012-13 academic year, provided it reduces such limits proportionately in the 2013-14 academic year. For example, if one student-athlete transfers to a Division I school already at the legislated limits of 25 initial counters and 85 overall counters for 2012-13, the school will be limited to 24 initial counters and 84 overall counters in 2013-14.
We're at 22 initial counters, so as far as initial counters go, he counts this year. Not sure exactly where we are on total counters, but if we're at 85, we'll have to play with 84 next year. But we can still have 25 initial counters next year, if the staff wants that.

Coach Krags has watched a ton more tape on Bolden than anyone here & he has to know what kind of potential this kid has. He also knows exactly what he has in our two backups now. If Mett was to go down & these two did not hold up, CLM would be ripped upside down & sideways for not having a contengency plan. And this is exactly what this is.

That actually isn't a fact in any way, shape, or form.

Hopefully Kragthorpe can turn him around. He has talent just doesn't make good decisions. And of course he never had a real QB coach at PSU. Good luck Rob, I'll be rooting for you to turn it around.
