you think? HINT: Throwing BTT's in combination with anything Auburn means losing a lot of credibility.

Yeah, but even I can admit that this is a very interesting situation. I'll wait and see, could get dicey.

really the contining loss of players to Auburn from Thibodeux has been discussed on this board many many many times. The fact that NCAA is investigating this, now on Fox sports and ESPN, I thought would be of interest to an LSU recruiting board. Forgive me then

i don't get the mantra "continuing loss of players from Thibodaux to Auburn".
THS has had 3 D-1 recruits in the last 20 years. Two, who are best friends, are now at AU, the other is committed to LSU. It's just not a D-1 pipeline.

I think its more a rules breaking issue than a hurt feelings issue they are investigating.

Frankly, I'm interested in hearing if/when something new shows up (such as this). And I'd rather not discuss it on the SECr. For every serious comment on the situation there will be 3 posts from Auburn fans claiming everyone one is butthurt because they won the MNC, and 3 more posts from gumps saying Auburn is doomed. ...and then for good measure some Arky fan will start spouting "flagship" nonsense.

the NCAA is also focusing its attention on so-called “street agents” like Nelson, with similar NCAA probes currently taking place around the country.

This part of the article interests me becuse Texas fans have been claiming an "Agent"/coach from Houston, named Lyles has been "representing" recruits.
These Texas fans claim Mack Brown would not recruit those kids once he found out they were connected to Lyles.
They said it about Lache Seastrunk, Tony Hurd, Terrance Toliver and now they say Lyles is "represnting" three 2012 recruits.
quote:

Current 2012 players with an association or rumored association to Slick Willie:
Matt Davis
Trey Williams
Bralon Addison

This is coming from a biter Texas fan but where there is smoke there is fire may apply in some cases:
quote:

Finally, start mentioning and visiting and camping at schools that are actually players in the market once the big names like Texas and Oklahoma (they do not appear to be dealing with agents any moreso than Texas right now) have been dropped into the recruiting cycle. Names like Auburn, Oregon, SC, Bama, LSU, Okie State and, you bet your arse, Texas A&M. Eventually, the basic bids will play out and players will visit a few of the schools. They'll "really feel" one school or another for awhile, then waffle. Then they'll wind up signing with someone without ceremony near the end of the stretch or sooner if the deal is right.

quote:

Its not too hard to figure out. When you see a Texas high school recruit's offer list and its filled with SEC schools, Oregon, USC.....chances are something must be going on.

58 good to see you post again. I think he is a guy who thinks he is helping kids but it made me mad when he told an Oregon fan he was LS guardian. That was a slap in the face of Lache's Grandmother who raised him.

Enter David Barham

There is a new locust in the Texas market. He's located in Brenham and he's here to get what he can before moving on. He destroyed a prep school called Acadiana Prep in Louisiana and you can google all of the sordid details for yourself. The typical hustling bullshite so common in the SEC footprint.

The Barham guy is about as shady as it gets. He was at Wesminster for a while, then left and brought some of his players to Christian Life, including Rufus Alexander, and played them the whole season knowing that they were ineligible.

Despite all the critism this is what ATPB has been following since almost day one, all these so called "player managers" out there and their associations with primarily various Auburn coaches, recruits, phoney charities many current FBI probes and each other.

When you connect the dots they all tie into one another. This is also what Saban was bitching about and what Meyers is ranting about. The agents are paying these "player managers" also. It scheme was laid out in some detail in th North Carolina scandel. This is why ESPN, Fox Sports, HBO, NY Times etc are all interested in this story. It is a powder keg that is going to blow.
It is just a matter of time.
