Do you realize how many offers we have out to QBs? We offered fricking Tate Martell. Decommiting because we offered someone else is bull shite. He doesn't feel like he will fit the system or he doesn't want to compete.

Yes, I do realize this. Im confused on why O would come out so blatantly talking about a dual threat QB when he said he wanted to run a pro style attack as the interim.

Didnt he say he wanted to run the USCw Offense, a pro style attack....Brennan would have been perfect for that.

And regardless.....even if this was about dual threat. This kid was probably plenty athletic enough to run that type of offense.

If this is about Kiffin....KIFFIN WON THE GOD DAMN TITLE WITH JACOB COKER LAST YEAR!!!!

Kiffin has proven he could do it with either QB. Why push the best commit we have had away so fast like this. I do not understand it and never will.

Only thing I can think of is behind closed doors Kiffin told O that he is 100% confident he can bring the Hawaiian kid with him.

Anything other than that, there wasn't any point in giving him an offer when you already have two really good QB's locked in and ready to sign now.

Let's wait and see how this all plays out before jumping off the bridge.

Hasn't he said before that he's not committed to a particular coach, but that he was committed to the school?

No, he sucked at developing QBs or formulating an offense that played into his QB's strength.

IMO this was by Shea Patterson was such a big miss. That guy is talented enough to run any system.

Pro- Style QB will not beat Bama... You don't beat Bama, you don't to go to the Championship. Pretty Simple

the teams that build a spread team to beat bama lose to Pittsburgh too.

The pro style teams don't lose to vastly inferior opponents when they have a bad offensive day.

This is spot on.
Bama was beat by teams with a DT QB, but none of those teams had a defense the caliber of LSU's.
Our defense, plus a decent O line, plus a calm QB of any style can beat bama.

I think we'd all agree that having Brennan is better than not having Brennan regardless of the supposed system that is going to be put in place.

And if this is because of the offer to the Bama committ, then I'm not sure you want that kind of guy anyway.

Wake up!!!

Look at what has happened, Coach Oeaux didn't go visit Brennan after he was announced as the HC he went and visited our "Horse" with 2 gimpy legs Lowell N. "along with Raymond and Craig" saying to Brennan this is the GUY we really want. On top of the fact that dumb f*ck coon-arse Oeaux has said we are going to run a spread offense with a dual threat QB - Brennan is not a dual threat QB and then you add into the fact that we offered the Bama commit who is a dual threat QB.

It is called "reading between the lines" doesn't take a rocket scientist with what has happened to show Brennan he is not really wanted and we are moving away from his skill set "drop back passer" to a dual threat spread offense QB!!!

How many times has LSU put all their eggs in one or two baskets only to get screwed in the end by a QB going elsewhere. Gunner Kiel comes to mind. Dude committed then just no showed for early registration in January.

If he's afraid of competition, he's not our man, I like him a lot and hope he reconsiders, but he's not saying NO to LSU just opening up recruiting. Smart move and he has no clue who OC will be so smart on his part.

Can't blame the kid. Dumb move by the staff with 2 Elite 11 QBs in the boat

Yes, but that's assuming that the system isn't being replaced by something extremely different that doesn't fit his skill set.

Miles sucked at evaluating QB's and y'all want us to just keep going with Miles/Cameron QB recruits?

Jefferson, Lee, Jennings and Harris were all 4-star recruits.

Evaluation wasn't the problem. Development was.

Which ones does the NFL want to keep developing?

Eggs in two baskets sounds like how we did our coaching search.

So what if Lane and O are pulling some Janzen Jackson type shite with Tua and Bama? What would the reaction to that be here?

I still wouldn't be happy because I don't like the offense that we are about to attempt to run.
