That’s the entire deal…gators will over pay so the narrative is “ top receiver from La picks gators and their coach over Kiffin”

When most know it’s all about how much u want to pay

Not sure why these kids say the dumb shite anymore….”felt like home”, “building something great”

really don't think he knows that much detail but if it is true, then bye. Can't let kids handicap you down the road by making you overspend. stick to the system and payout amounts that our team has in place for different positions and roll with it. We have plenty of money to go around to build a competitive roster nationally. stick to the plan and if he fits in that plan then great.

I feel like if there ever is a high school kid you overpay to get, it’s Easton Royal. He is the real deal. Would be the next great LSU receiver.
Just can’t lose an in-state prospect like this.

He will end up a tiger I don’t get the panic in the comments Jesus. Kiffin came to lsu so he can land recruits like Royal. We’re gonna go all in to keep that kid in state

They fall for the media slop

Give it two months and you’ll have an answer. That easy

Royal may be good…but he really doesn’t look the part of an intimidating receiver in the next level

It shouldn't be surprising. There was a chance of rain this weekend, and all we heard all week was questions about if the game would be moved/canceled. The worlds brightest minds certainly do not roam this message board.

I would imagine some of the shine is missing from Florida after being embarassed this past weekend by Missouri

Go look at top five ranked wr each year. Its a 50/50 shot at finding a productive one. Much less a productive one early on. If it happens great but Im not going to Bryce Underwood crash out on any high school football player in this day and age.

Would not getting the best WR in La. be a loss yes,but LSU is a magnet for skill position athletes especially when you have a great offensive coach.NO player is bigger than LSU and we will survive.

When you have an in state talent like a Cam Coleman or Dakorion Moore, you do everything you can to get them. They are game changers

Yeah I agree. People aren’t seeing it. Royal is that level of a prospect. If he goes to Florida or Texas, he will be a huge problem for us.

He’s dominated the summer camp circuit, won MVP of the Under Armor game as a junior..not sure what else he needs to demonstrate

With Lane I don’t even really care. He now has time to recruit WRs and with Lane and the LSU brand, we will be just fine. I would love to land Easton, but if he chooses the money, he will also be in a lesser offense to showcase his talent.

He is 17 & would start for lsu this year.

He’s thick and strong, can track the ball, has long arms, and runs a 10.1 100m. He’s one of, if not the best WR prospects to ever come out of LA.

I don't believe that he knows that.
It's obvious you don't follow Matt. If it's about money spending, he's likely heard it.

Doesn't Florida have a history of promising kids more money than they can actually pay?

Eta: Look up Jaden Rashada
Sure, but this isn't a QB. Florida and Miami were offering him prices Nico had gotten. This was before the school could pay money and you had to rely purely on big donors and fan collectives.

This might end up being another Jahkeem Stewart offer. Going way overboard for a high school player.

If we don't get him, the portal will always have some dogs.
