interesting, must have yanked it last night?

Said he wished him well, and that he looked at each player individually, and that players come on their own accord, not based on who's in class and who's not in class.

Also said Rocky counts towards this class.

Is it though?

If the kid can't make the grades in high school how is he supposed to make them in College? He may have never played a down if he came here.

No crap...so was keeping Benton. If we keep Benton, and Randles is driven to OU..and Benton doesn't make the grades we have zilch. At least this way, we are guaranteed to have 1 of them.

So Benton was essentially dumped because he visited AU after we had waited on him for three years, correct?

I'm relieved now, that it's over with. But yeah, I think it's a pretty big gamble. With all the drama out of Bastrop last night, if Reuben would have flipped, we'd have a class with no WR!

No, if the kid can't make the grades in highschool how is he going to "play" and make the grades. I just can't see it happening for him. Also, I think he is eligible to leave after his sophmore year and unless Randle is redshirted which he won't be he would be here at least 3 years. Isn't that right?

Well he can't talk to the players so he has to go off his gut that the rumors of Benton coming = RR going to OU or Bama so ya, I think it was.
You have a 4* reciever who on the field is great and you basicall have to tell him no thanks because this guy is better and we increase our chances if you're gone.

I think he was dumped because there was a genuine fear that he wouldn't be on the field due to academics, and Randle is a much bigger catch without that problem. Risking losing Randle over Benton was not a good gamble.

Good call by the Hat IMO.

I don't. He had no business visiting Auburn after we had been waiting on him for three years. That was a major act of disloyalty.

How long ago was Benton supposed to commit to LSU. 3 years ago and in that period he still couldn't make the grades. I seriously doubt he will play for Auburn unless they give him the grades. By the way is he even eligible to play? Miles did the right thing.
