The word here is that he is soft. (Not my words)
Someone who really knows, is he worth the hype?
I haven't seen him play much, but I was on the sidelines for the championship games in the dome. My observations are from one game only, so tifwiw.

1. Dude is massive, not flabby. He has a huge frame and can add more weight/muscle and not be a load of shite. I think there's a lot of potential there.

2. I hate to say it but he looked lazy/uninterested most of the time. He didn't make many plays that actually stood out.

3. Occasionally, he would appear to get pissed and would fire off into the O-line and absolutely destroy whoever was in front of him. These guys weren't necessarily small but they were much smaller than him. He appears to be very strong when he wants to be.

That's all I got.

Sometimes big kids who have tremendous football potential do not enjoy the game very much.
Some get a kick out of basketball, but some just don't enjoy
any sport.
They are not bad kids, they just are not likely to spend the time and energy necessary to excel.
Maybe McKinley is more excited about being an engineer than a football player...

Certainly possible. I wish him the best whatever he does.

Those two statements seem to be in conflict.

I heard that Dom in home with LSU tomorrow and will probably push his signing back to Feb, no solid decision yet and that LSU new DL coach is coaching in Final 4 so maybe Bo Davis is coming home

Let’s hope so. And it’s not his fault he’s been hyped up based on potential and not necessarily his play. I’ve said it before that whether he comes here or goes out of state he will need a few years to develop, and that seems obviously true. Which is why it bugs me that kids expect to get huge amounts of money without accomplishing anything. You know what they say…. It’s hard to stay hungry when you’re already full.

He's Sophser 2.0 I think as far as being overrated goes. I just can't understand his ranking watching his film.

But I don't get paid to do this, soooo

I assume if his attitude is good, we'd take him as a Louisiana kid for sure. And we desperately need DL.

Probably should be a high 3 star.

My Texas buddy who is normally pretty spot on with their recruiting says they have backed off of him.

Can definitely see this after his senior season. NIL offers shrinking for McKinley.

Maybe he camped well.

Apparently he has the ability. He just needs a coach that can get him to play to his talent. It seems like from most reports it's more his nature vs laziness. For his sake, hopefully he or a coach can light that fire.

People that have his size and move like he does don’t come around very often. You would almost have to make room for him if he wants in because the potential is through the roof.

One never knows for sure. The same was said for Quincy Wiggins & Ali Gaye.
