The uncertainty around this season's roster is lame, but whatever Wade puts on the court is bound to be more exciting and entertaining than the last few seasons. At this point, I'm just ready to watch Wade start stacking Top Tier '27 & '28 talent.

Why does it matter, he was brought in to improve the program, If there are only five eligible players its not a lame concern. Its doubtful they can be successful as the roster presently stands.

I am in no way connected or have any scoop on the program.
PERSONAL OPINION: I think we are going to get the majority eligible.

NCAA is slow playing the international players (on purpose). Will likely need an injunction to get anyone except Ruzik eligible.
Dent and Clark need a favorable ruling in California later this month.
The decision by the 1st circuit yesterday is helpful for Luis (even though it’s not his case), but not convinced LSU is going to roster him in light of the SEC rule and ongoing litigation.

NCAA has been winning a lot of the 5in5 cases from 2022s. I genuinely hope we have some worst case scenario back up plans figured out.
I really don't think there should be any issue with Ruzik though.

Agreed. It is pretty easy to get a TRO, turning that into a Preliminary Injunction win is a steeper climb. Even if successful, no doubt the NCAA will appeal and try to have that heard ASAP.

Just looking for a quick summary of current status of LSU roster. At this moment, lsusports.net only shows Ugochukwu, Bashir, Nunez, and Dioubate on the roster.
Can we get a little more info in the OP to make this clearer for all? It’s pretty difficult wading through the near 170 pages filled with constant shifting.
What is the [OFFICIAL] designation in OP?
Could we add some designation like [CONFIRMED] or [ROSTER], etc for the players we have 100% confidence are currently good to go?
And/or could we get a [PENDING] designation with update for the others that have ongoing issues?

Watch this rule change for International players only last a year because they still have a hard on for Wade and didn't like him building a team of mostly overseas guys.

No-one knows to be honest... I doubt LSU even knows

There is a Rashad King in the Louisiana suit that got the preliminary injunction. I don't know if that is the same one from last year but if so is a fall back.

talked to my sauce over the weekend and he says Rj has been practicing with the team and is 50/50 shot to be cleared. All of the international guys are practicing and CWW expects them all to be good to go. They will not post an official roster until much closer to the beginning of the season. Says the team is really clicking and very excited to get rolling. Exhibition with Mcneese will prob be the 1st look.

I agree with those saying we will not likely rock the boat with Luis. And Harris and Wright were also practicing with the fb team, so I put no weight on that statement with regards to the bb internationals. I do hope we get at least some of them though. But I certainly have no information, that’s why I’m here asking.

Thanks to post by “rds dc,” this was the best type of summary I could find. However, it dates back to Aug 30. It does not include Levy (7’3” center from Israel) or Rashad King (returnee mentioned in law suit from recent post above by ThighMeat). Was really hoping we could get something like this updated and stickied either here or tRant. Hard to wade through this current post and OP not very clear or getting updated.
So I’m guessing we are up to 6 “definite” on roster with Levy. And all others still pending legal issues?

Just noted that Mackinnon is Class of 2022. So appears he could get TRO for 5th year. Has there been no interest in having Max return or had he made a statement he is DONE or moved elsewhere?
