That’s to be expected. Man would Michigan be screwed right now if like half there team up and left. They have no choice but to overpay if needed to keep them. Otherwise would be really hard to fill roster with any type of quality players this late in process

Only f up is letting Reece go. And that’s what happens with recruiting. Wade and tigers need a couple guards but will be okay no matter.

I believe Wade made offers to Reece and Dedan Thomas but did not engage in a bidding war under the belief he would do better in th eportal than has occurred. I don't believe the master plan was to go as heavily with European players as he was forced to do. Maybe he can luck into another Tremont Waters late addition again.

The portal signees have not been overwhelming based upon prior performances. They may develop into outstanding performers but it seems they have all been either backups or part time players.

Yep. And was a ghost when all of the commits were being announced. Now he comes in to get his pot shots in on a supposed idea that “Wade missed out”
I have a feeling this upcoming season (and all subsequent WW seasons) will not be a fun time for him.

The Europeansignees were not from the portal. I clearly stated its likely he pivoted to the European players as strongly as he did because did not make a big splash in the portal. Hopefully they will prove to be studs.

Who is miserable. I am optimistic that Wade can replicate his prior success and exceed it. I made an honest comment about his portal signings # 61,
# 122 and # 220 along with an unranked signee is not a strong group . Hopefully they develop into very productive players.
Hopefully the European players will all be eligible and possibly Luis when all the legal dust settles, but there is a lot of uncertainty at this time.
Lets not forget that in his first year at LSU Wade inherited a roster with three NBA players, a G league player who had a long European career, and he also lucked into getting Tremont Waters when Georgetown fired Patrick Ewing and Waters got his release. This time he inherited an empty roster once Miller and Reece entered the portal.I was initially responding to the comment about not retaining Jalen Reece who would have been a good addition with upside as shown by his play when he became a starter the second half of the season.

Has anyone seen any news about internationals being cleared or denied under the new guidance? It sounds like Ruzic might be on campus for summer workouts. Any word on other internationals already being on campus?
