I haven’t covered Westgate for a long time, but I can tell you for a fact that Ryan Antoine is an honest man who cares about every player on his roster from the four stars to the fourth string.

He will do his best to get his players out of New Iberia, whether they sign with Southen-Shreveport, Louisiana Community Christian, Southeastern, Tyler Junior College, Grambling, LSU, Colorado State, Jackson State, Louisville, Louisiana Tech or Alabama.

I mentioned those schools because players have signed there in recent years from Westgate.

He didn’t steer Jared Mitchell, Josh Boutte or Kayshon Boutte to LSU, and I don’t believe he steered Danny Lewis to Alabama.

It's best to ignore that extremely vocal minority, as well as those "LSU Fans" that troll and instigate. There are without a doubt alters from A&M and Bama that do everything they can to paint LSU in a poor light, to reinforce the negative recruiting they both utilize, with often this board as the tool.

I also agree with Clean's statement. Local news station did an interview asking Lewis why he decided to sign with ALA. His answer .... He wanted to play for the best coach in CFB. When the ALA offer was made, Lewis said it was a no-brainer decision.

IMO, some kids want immediate playing time to perfect their skills in 3 years and then they go chasing the money. (LSU's MO for years) Others want rings and to claim they played for the greatest CFB coach in history. I could see Lewis' situation ending up similar to Slade Bolden. Red-shirting and waiting 2-3 years before getting any meaningful snaps. I could also see him transitioning to the DL in several years and being used in certain situations. Lewis is a big body who adds depth to ALA's already deep roster. More importantly for Saban, he has now planted seeds in the New Iberia area.

or maybe it was $25k Bama came with the night before signing day that LSU felt he wasn't worth

LSU probably the leader for Singleton so you’re wrong.

So maybe he doesn't listen to Jess' Bs
There is a poster on 247 who is real close to Jess who even admits Jess doesn't like LSU

quote:

Jess didn’t have anything to do with the split

So he doesn't support it? Was the Many principal not one of the biggest proponents of it ?

I graduated with Jess, was his next door neighbor and played OT alongside him at TE on Many’s first team to reach the Dome.

I already said what I said. I’m not gonna be cross-examined by you

He obviously wants Derek Williams next year. I’m gonna throw up if Williams and Sampson go to Bama next year. The new staff has to get the fence back up.

They've had a few kids throughout the years who probably could have played at LSU. The issue with some of them is that they weight program is so good there are they maxed out as athletes? Is there room to really grow them?

The LSU program just hasn't put much effort into their school, and it has an effect on where kids go. Hopefully, BK and his staff can get up there and mend the relationship moving forward. I promise they don't hate LSU as a family because Tackett's oldest brother was Mike the Tiger a few years ago.

Ok. Orgeron is gone, now what? It seems there is competent management in the Athletic Department and you have a stallworth coached hired. We good?
