Can't say I see the same happening for CRob. I think he's gone for good.

The first public speaking event Saban did after he took the Bama job was at the orthopedic clinic in Monroe. Hes been trying to get in that area since he came back to college.

Everything that you say about LSU is negative. Everything you say about the staff is negative.

My guess is that you aren't really an LSU fan and that you are over here trying to cast a negative perspective on LSU recruiting.

LSUTIGER#1fan.

Wow.

Would posters on other teams' forums be allowed to be this negative, especially in a discussion concerning a recruiting battle this intense? Should it be allowed on this forum?

LSU has an in home visit w/Hootie Jones Sunday nightWhat once seemed like Monday was going to be a great day for Tiger fans is now sounding like a bad day. Possibly lose Hootie and Auburn keeps Daquille.

Quille wants to showcase his talent more than anything which is why he said a year or so ago that LSU didn't throw the ball enough and had concerns. Sure he had an unbelievable time at the game, but Auburn is a great running team that does not do much passing at all. Quille is trying to be one and done and must go where there will be more balance and opportunity to show his talents. When the dust settles, thinking logically, I would say he comes to us. Outside shot says Malzahn convinces him that despite what he see's on the field, he will get Quille the ball next year and make him a 1000 yard receiver. I remember him saying in an article something like coaches telling him they will get him the ball, but he not going by what people are saying, he's going by what he see, and LSU has two receivers over 1000 yards. Remember, Cordarrell Patterson went to Tennesse not because they were going to win a championship, but because he knew they threw the ball and he would be able to show his talent. 1st round pick.

That's pretty sad that the les and the staff didn't really focus on her, if she had a great visit I think he would be a tiger

HollierThanThou- I don't think his mom would have been mistreated on either visit. He's made a decision and he's going to validate that decision in his mind no matter how good the other staff was.

on point! there's probably a lot of self-justification here on Hooties part. Everybody does it, it's human nature.

We just can't let that turn into an attack or negative assumption on our Staff. Said this elsewhere, can't remember where:
CLM had Hootie and his Mom over to breakfast, cooked by his wife, at his house, on gameday, facing a SEC W opponent and the current Heisman trophy holder, when a buttload of important recruits were also there too... who did not get to go to CLM's house. So who got red carpet treatment AND preferential treatment?

On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being LSU showed blatant disregard to the mom and 10 being mom is just high maintenance, describe the mom's experience.

Since my initial post on this subject I've been swayed. While I still think we're behind, if Hootie is not being disingenuous, then we still have a shot. How much better treatment from the staff can you get than having the head coach personally visit you, AGAIN, after wining and dining you during your official visit? Come on, they are doing the best that they can.

Yeah, there's more to it than that, for sure.

I've got .02 to spend, but I'll wait until after this announcement so that it'll look like sour grapes and not hurt any posters' feelings.

Everybody's reading tea leaves in here based on community info, and doing just that using a little logic, makes for a plausible scenario, IMO.

Either Hootie is preparing the excuses so he won't get too much hatred for choosing Bama, or he's trolling. That's the bottom line. What do you believe? I choose to put my fingers in my ears, close my eyes and stay positivie .
