yah, I'm holding back on some comments I'd love to make myself because:
A) tend towards the negative, as always when fighting Bama on anything
B) who the hell knows with Hootie! 95% of us are going to be wrong. The other 5% will be right due to just getting lucky.
but MarcoPolo just voiced one of my thoughts. Don't know if that's true though. Hence, I'll keep such things to myself. No judgement on those that do say it however.
IF Hootie chooses LSU it will be great to see him with the likes of Paris, Robinson, White, and hopefully Adams.
IF Hootie goes Gump, it will be just as nice to hopefully see Adams with the likes of Paris, Robinson, White, etc.
We have to face the likes of Wisky South, FL, Bama, etc with either very strong ground games or balanced attacks. We NEED both Adams and Hootie.

So, why are threads about Hootie that aren't positive for LSU getting whacked?
Posted on 12/1/13 at 1:06 pm to oauron
Probably bc it's from a pay site
Posted on 12/1/13 at 1:07 pm to oauron
No idea...I just logged back in to see what has been said in the good news/bad news thread and it's whacked....not cool

either...
a) there's already a thread to post in
or
b) thread is really a Miles-bash thread disguised as a recruiting thread

Bad news for Hootie?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think so, I think that train has run its course. This was a way worse loss for them than to losing to us. Hootie could start right away here and go down as one of the all time great safeties at DBU. The Gumps are in decline and their coach may be burning out. Just a gut feel on the burning out. He has ran at a high speed for quite sometime and the expectations are now unrealistic over there. BTW they are dogging the hell out of him right now. There were rumblings this year and they were undefeated ranked 1st all year.
Talk about appreciation.
CLM must be chuckling just a little eating his sandwiches with a little bit of salad and lettuce.
This was big for LSU recruiting. Saban made some very questionable decisions and his team did not play well in a huge game with another NC on the line most likely. If they can get some poor to average QB play over there next year, it could get dramatic over in Gumpville.
Not saying they wont always be a force w/him there but the playing field has gotten more and more even.
No longer a 5 week preparation or the easier conference schedule. Add in these new offenses that give them fits, btw one happens to be in his own state, and they are most likely on the decline.
Auburn will now pluck a few of their prized recruits from time to time. Alabama lost games even home games during their fortunate run of 3/4. They were never way ahead of everyone else 'smoke and mirrors'. They will not be able to match their run going forward imo.

You're delusional if you think that loss hurts Bama in recruiting or they are in decline. Are you kidding me? Where do you idiots come up with this stuff?

There's negative news... and there's negative posts (anti- recruit, school, coach, region, etc).
A lot of those posts turned into a "bash ______" fest I guess. Didn't seem too bad to me, but I'm not the judge of that.
And a bunch of them were "who's better, A or B" (specifically Adams & Hootie). instead of having a bunch of us falling for that trap by alters Mods are whacking them. And yes, some stuff did get tweeted to Hootie from this board that was negative by Gump lurkers/trolls. So it's not just paranoia. Even Landon Collins got in on it.
quote:Eh, not buying that either. But hey, if we say it enough maybe it creates the perception of some truth to it. Gumps have created the perception that they put more in the NFL, that Saban is infallible, that Saban made LSU (LSU made Saban just as much). That perception must be at least fractured, if not shattered to win some of these battles. So I'm ok with as many people posting it as possible even if I don't believe it myself.

They kinda are. Seeing as before now they were at the top of college football and now they aren't, that's a decline. And if they come out and lay an egg in their bowl game, even better.
Every year Bama doesn't win the championship is a huge win for the rest of college football. Saban is a high strung, stressed out type of individual who is getting old. He doesn't have much longer in coaching. You already heard his wife come out about not being appreciated.
They miss out on the championship next year, he'll retire, no doubt in my mind. He cannot withstand another non-championship year there. This year was just the first step.

No negative threads on official ride4hootie&quille day.

Bamas loss yesterday will have no effect on their recruiting. Just like our 3 had no effect on ours. Kids lovethe program and 1 loss on a fluky play ddoesn't make their program any less attractive. Bama was the better team yesterday. They just finally made mistakes and it cost them. And it still took a fluke play( while and opportunistic and well planned out one) to beat them. They'll be fine and Hoote tomorrow will sew up the top class for them this year even over our outstanding one. Thats just the level they are n right now, like it or not

I dont think this years class will be affected much. But moving forward Auburn will get a few of their prized offensive players without a doubt. Malzahn is the real deal another headache that Saban hasnt had to deal with recently. I never said they werent going to be good as long as he is there. Texas job just got a little more attractive, just saying.

So is there any realistic shot of getting Hootie, or is he gonna head off to Deaththreatville?
Posted on 12/1/13 at 2:30 pm to LSUANDY25
There's certainly nothing bad to come from the Auburn win as far as Hootie is concerned. Whether it was a positive will be answered soon. Quille is a different matter - I'm fairly certain he will play his one & out at Auburn. From his post-game comments I think Auburn sealed the deal but comparatively speaking, his loss would be secondary to some of the longer term recruits.

Bama was not the better team.
Auburn was. Better coaching. Players made more plays.

Hootie tweeted today that the team that treated his Mom the best during his visits will have him the next 4 years. I can't imagine anyone treating her better than Les Miles but we'll see.

I guess Les sung happy birthday to the wrong momma
