Don't want to shine on coach but what Scott did in football, women's basketball, and men baseball have all been top of the food chain coaches.
It would be hard for anyone at any school to pull those coaches.
What the hell happened with mens basketball? Other than Ncaa holding a knife at our throat.

He understands the pick and roll and is aggressive going to the goal. Hopefully is a good role player and can share minutes with Baker. Can't teach height.

You hit the nail on the head. We couldn’t get anyone to come that was elite with the sanctions.
We got the in demand hot name coach that year though, for a huge sum of money.

Looks like he was a late bloomer. His high school profile had him at 6'7" 190 lbs as a senior. He's now 6'10" 235 lbs.

This doesn't fix the need for a rim protector. It's just five fouls with a hope and a prayer that he develops into a little bit of an offensive threat and doesn't get slaughtered on the boards.
When what's needed is somebody like Cisse or Bandaogo. This is a (hopefully) better version of Kendall Coleman.
And it's what we pull when we lose out on Girard.
McMahon is just filling out his roster right now. He's given up on making it better.
Barring something miraculous with that last scholarship you're AT BEST looking at getting to 6-12 or 7-11 in the SEC and scraping your way into the NIT. And that's optimistic, because you're going into the season with some pretty colossal weaknesses (can't defend, can't rebound, no length on the perimeter, no rim protection, not much physical presence in the lane, few players capable of creating their own shot).
I hope I'm wrong, but the chalk here is that this season won't be significantly better than last year and after we get to November without signing any marquee high school talent and go 15-17 this winter, Woodward will have no choice but to pay McMahon his money and send him away.

that last scholarship
I've read LSU gave up last scholarship as part of them getting ahead of possible sanctions

I swear I was on here four years ago suggesting that Wade bring that kid in as a walkon.
Now McMahon is signing him as a transfer.
Yikes.

He did add some weight after high school. Good kid from a good family. Dad is retired military. He'll be in the rotation and help some. He was also a pretty good pitcher in high school. Pretty imposing at his height on the mound.

I feel like we are back to the Trent Johnson era.
Somewhere Matt Derenbecker's ears are ringing.
