Don’t see anything about that link being old.
You’re looking at his recruiting profile and LSU is where he enrolled as a signee out of HS. If you click his player profile it shows he has entered the portal from Tulane.

Right. I don’t mean just SEC and it was hyperbole on my part to say “a ton”. But movement is happening and picking up right now.
Of course, there’s always more movement into the portal than there is coming out.

I looked at the player profile, and now I see an arrow pointing from Tulane to LSU with a 100% shown in the transfer box. It seems like a prediction that he will transfer back to LSU. That would be great.

What would be the reason for the NCAA granting him a waiver? He has already used up one transfer. Is he going to graduate early? Maybe that is why he also put his name in the NBA draft?

Maybe because he originally signed and played at LSU??? Not sure how that would affect his waiver case

I don't know. I haven't really seen it addressed, but there are a bunch of guys in the portal that will need waivers to play next season. Knowing the NCAA, there will be a bunch of guys sitting around not playing, waiting on their waiver cases to be reviewed.

I thought there was possibly something about all players getting a free transfer after the covid year, meaning his first transfer was "free" in addition to the general free one granted to everyone a year later.

Scroll down to the 8th point guard. Jalen Cook is listed as 100% for the 2023 class. Not enrolled or official yet.

He’s 100% because 1 person put a prediction in for lsu. He’s not actually 100%, because he would already be commited. Y’all must be new to the recruiting sites

Multiple sites are saying that he will need a waiver to play next season at LSU.

I’m thinking that’s why lsu is so favored

He’s more likely to get a waiver here due to playing here as a freshman

I doubt it. Perhaps a grad transfer, but if the NCAA is going to stick to their position, he won’t get a waiver

They are gonna have a ton of waivers to decide on

Will be interesting to see if the NCAA will be as strict as they said they were

You think Jalen Cook will want to come back home now that Wade is gone and we need guard help? Definitely could use his shooting.

Jordan Wright would be better than some but he is still not the shooter we need at guard. This season he was 39.8% from the field and 31.5 from three.
