Miller will be going to Oregon . McMahon loses a big time recruit that seemed locked in with lsu again . Not good at all

Sucks if True. Miller was futured at 100% Lsu. I wonder if Lsu is in any danger of losing the other 2 4 stars that are committed?

The other 2 signed already. And it does look like LSU had cast a wide net on shooting guard recruits. Of course that is if Vyc doesn't sign with LSU tonight.

The issue is that most have already committed

The issue is that they pretty much gave up on last cycle and the message was that they were shifting to ‘24 because it was too late to get into the ‘23 class. Now they are only going to sign 2 of the vast recruits they were recruiting hard for the last year and a half.

I’m curious what the teams revenue was 3 years ago compared to now…

They will probably sign 4 or more in this class. Yes, it won't be a class full of top 50 prospects, but could you really expect that at this point? And we don't even know about Vyctorius yet, who would be a 3rd top 50 recruit.

At this point next year our weakness (pg) will be our strength with Cook, Williams, and CG3. That and a bevy of forwards.

Gicarri Harris committed to Purdue earlier. Another name to officially take off the board.

As for Miller, the more time passed without an announcement, the more it felt like LSU’s push wore off. Still like our class so far but sucks to miss out on a player like Miller at the very end.

I’d give it some time before saying anything positive about next year. The staff has shown that they can ruin any wet dream. I wouldn’t be surprised if Cook decides to go pro since he seriously considered it last year.

They are out on all of the remaining early signing period targets. If they sign anyone else, it’s going to be a 3* development player. Considering most peoples excuse for what we have watched since this staff has taken over is the lack of talent, signing 3 4* players in 2 years isn’t going to cut it.

You said 4 recruits? Who will they be? Anthony Gilkes, Jason Jackson, Jalen Lee, Malachi Palmer? A recruit we arent thinking of? Or is this rest of our class gonna be portal additions?

I think people are kinda losing the big picture here. Not many schools bring in two top 50-ish recruits. Bringing in a third (Vyctorius) would have just been the icing on the cake. We should be bringing back a lot of pieces next year to go along with this class and we’ll get what we need from the portal.

Our class is currently ranked 8th in the SEC. Wouldn’t be a stretch to say all 7 teams in front of us will be returning better rosters as well.

The portal isn’t the answer to fix this team. They are here 1-2 seasons then we just repeat the “he’s starting over, give him time” excuse. He needs some large HS classes, then actually develop the players. He won’t see the end of his contract if he can’t figure that out.

Are players who signed letters allowed decommit if there are head coaching changes?

Schools will generally let them out. There are usually a few extra decent freshmen available in April as a result.

I figured the news was true when some of the guys hyping him to Lsu went media silence today. Seemed like a lock for a long time...

Yeah, a bit of a bummer, but there are still options out there. The Debbie Downers seemed to have already forgotten that we pulled CG3 out of a magic hat against Memphis. And point is tougher to fill.

The bigger problem for the team is getting players to play up to their potential. When McMoribund is able to do that, I will pay more attention to recruiting.

And you can tell that 2 games into year 2?
