6 for fricking 6 with the 2027 class for the state. That is a big deal, lots of lefty arms and bats and its the best class in the state in a while. The 2031 class in state is the next deep class in the state. 2028 & 2029 has some top end talent though.

currently 7th graders, 13u for this season. The 8th grade class has a 2-3 big time kids but nothing crazy. the 2031 class is really deep across the state. With 3 select fest kids. Chayse Frierson from Shreveport, assuming he gets held back & gets in correct class for his age, will head into HS as a top 20 prospect similar to how Jordin Griffin did. He was 82 at 12u last year

LINK

imo the best kid in that 2031 class is Ruben Elias from Cali. Every time his team has played in BR he has been up at LSU touring and talking with current players. Texas is stacked for 2031 too.

for the 8th graders, the 2030 kids...the #1 kid in the nation is Tyler Early...he is from Alexandria area originally. Kid is stupid good...size for days. I would imagine he will want to go to LSU but he does live in Houston area now(tomball). For 2030 the Texas class is stacked stacked.

Where is Z Johnson in that mix? Saw he is now at Barbe after growing up near Shreveport.

Recall him and Early as standouts for TeamUSA a few years back.

Jay should be. Littlteton has so much potential still. at 6'2 already and only like 175 lbs and already up to 92 max velo. If he can get to 185 by graduation and then 200 during freshman year you are looking at having a left in the same mold as Kade anderson velo, spin and pitch wise.

Zaylon is a 2029 kid. should have been held back but his parents didnt know about any of that before moving down to LC in 7th grade and I think they just didnt want to at that point.

he was up to 91 this summer on the stalker from what I saw. Kid has legit 2 way potential. I look for him and Ian Davis from STM to initially be at the top of the LA rankings for 2029. Those are the two select fest kids in the 2029 class. Ian is 6'1 180 and Zaylon is 6' 190. Landyn Dugas from Destrahan is another name to watch in state in that class and a big one to look out for is the Jack Stokes kid from catholic. Kid is huge, like 6'4 210 already, big big potential.

I heard Talon Sweat moved to Lake Charles and is at Barbe now but I dunno as I havent been up there in a long time, but i know he was big on the national scene in 14u last year.

so the 2028 class....Blessington from SH is the name around LC. Has to stay healthy and gain weight. the whole SH 2028 class is stack. 2029 both Barbe and SH are stacked with Zaylon as the best currently.

for 2028 in the state...the Tanner Conley kid from Fountainblue is big time name to watch. Big lefty already up to 88-90....like 6'3 190ish...big kid.

there will be a bunch of others that pop this year for 2028 that burst onto the scene.

Father + Son Hawpe > Father + Son Furniss?

It’s being debated down here at Sammy’s.

They want Marshall to develop as a hitter, if he does…yes they want him

As far as who they will retain, good chance to retain all of them at this point honestly.
