Not sure there is really anyone I’d want to add. Our roster seems pretty damn good. Maybe a depth piece if that’s needed.

Adding someone would mean removing someone also.

Not necessarily if those previous players were DSA's, its not like brining on an incoming freshman.

I think the DSA rule is why our third catcher for this season is a 5th year senior and not a true freshman.

DSA's, 5 for 5, I feel like there is going to be another rule that is going to pass making roster management all the more confusing.

And Judd Utermark announced he will be back at Ole Miss with Furniss.

Prep Baseball Louisiana: 2027 State Rankings Update (August 2026)
August 19, 2026
Alex Armand
Louisiana Scouting Director
With the 2026 summer season officially in the books and a new school year right around the corner, it’s time for another update to our Louisiana state rankings. Throughout the summer, our staff had the opportunity to see a significant number of players and teams across the state at our showcase events and tournaments, giving us plenty of new information to evaluate.
Today, we kick off a month-long stretch of state rankings updates with the 2027 class. This latest update features several changes inside the Top 10, along with plenty of movers and shakers throughout the rankings, which have now expanded to 315 players. Be sure to follow us throughout the week across all of our social media platforms as we continue our coverage and break down the biggest risers, newcomers, and names to know in Louisiana’s 2027 class.

I think Koa is the most valuable recruit in the in-state class. That's not to take away from Luker's value as a lefty arm or the pure electricity of Griffin, but Koa is a tank, yet can play anywhere including behind the plate and pitch, just an overall can't miss and I don't think he's even hit his peak. I also think he will go to college.

those three would be 1.1 in the state most years. Not sure why Parker is 3, he isn't on their level.

Totally anecdotal but Koa smashing a grand slam off Greyson last week makes seeing him ranked above Koa a little funny.
Also for whatever reason if you go to prep baseball home page and look at the LA Top 10 right now it's different than what he posted. Koa and Greyson are flipped.

I think Parker will take a leap next season. I think the same about Littleton. I'm not sure about Luker taking much of a leap, but that's strictly from my eye test. I'm certainly not a scout, though. None of those kids are terribly imposing figures. Jack Lee is a big dude, but I was also not overly impressed by him yet. He may be the big leap dude for pitching recruits.
