Sounds like a slightly shorter left-handed Jared Jones? Bring him on down!

Tucker has already posted he’s on campus with his locker
Not sure if that means he’s for sure staying here but it seems to be an indication
Unfortunately we've had several kids in the past move onto campus and still end up signing. To me that doesn't mean a whole lot.

maybe Jay should stop trying to beat MLB and keep guys home like Grayden Harris at Southern Miss who made the Team USA roster
Maybe you should stick to quitting on the team in February. It's what you do best.

Baseball America's final update to the BA500:

Also Keith Law on Sides:
quote:
Sides is a strong right-handed pitcher who throws 95-96 with a power changeup and a sweepy slider, nothing plus right now, but with good control for a high school pitcher. His arm is fairly late and the slider might improve if he can get on time. There’s plenty of projection on his 6-foot-5 frame, and if he’s signable later on in the draft, he’s an excellent candidate for a team with strong pitching development. He’s committed to LSU.

Last night I saw John Pearson and Jake Brown leaving Superior off Highland with 2 other kids I didn’t recognize but figured were likely also associated with baseball program. One was tall with a mustache, who I figured was an incoming signee. Other one could have been anybody. They drove off in a suited up truck. Indigestion followed later, but not sure about them.

No Santi Garcia?
Maybe we don’t need another lefty

My opinion is that he's going to get somewhere in the $300k range and sign pro, and probably go to Low A as a starter.
On a different note, Wesley Roberson is being touted as a guy who will go earlier than most people expect. And I'm seeing him tied to the Cardinals. Cardinals have a lot to spend and it looks like they may go a little HS heavy this draft and move money down the board to do it.
Possibly not coincidentally, Roberson goes to the same HS Adam Wainwright did.

South Carolina took Wake Forest's recruiting coordinator and hitting coach and then took every worthwhile underclassman hitter from them.
In return, Wake Forest decided to give up on baseball by hiring Terry Rooney as their recruiting coordinator.

My question is if freshman like Loew, Martinez, and Tucker make it to campus, How much would they play?
Right now I have 17 position players on the team

Our transfers will have either gotten injured or completely failed in order for them to see significant time. Jay is not really a guy that changes the lineup much during the week.

That’s what I was thinking
Hope they will stay and not transfer after the season
But would be cool if all 17 position players hit a homer
Harden barely played but he did hit a dinger
I could see any of Patrick, Ruckert, Loew, Martinez, or Tucker leaving after 2027

If Ruckert and Patrick are going to stick it out for this season, then they might as well stay for their junior year. After this next season, we'll have 3 open IF spots and 2 OF spots.
I guess the same could be said for the incoming freshman infielders
I know players these days don't think like that, but the time for Ruckert and Patrick to jump ship was this year when the transfers rolled in

They would have to be really good. Each infield spot has a backup from last year on the 2 deep.
Loew hit like .297 last year as a Sr in HS(2A i think?). Has some loud tools but will have to swing it better than that.
With Martinez i think if you had asked Jay if he thought this would be his final form as a Sr when he committed in Nov 24', he'd probably say no.
Kinda of reminds me of the Kucherak and Roelling situation. At the end of the day, the SS's that Milam has ran off is kind of impressive.
Kucherak
Roellig
David Hogg
Mikey Ryan
Ethan Clauss
CJ Weinstein

I just wanna see all of them hit at least 1 homer as a Tiger
As sad as I was for harden to leave, I’m glad he hit 1 homer before he left
