The problem has been the in state talent in the last few years. At LSU you don't take in state kids just to say you have in state kids out of high school. They have to be good enough to come to LSU in the first place. However, the next few years after this recruiting class should have more in state talent.

DJ Primeaux to Nicholls. I hope he does well there.

Good program guy, wish him the best. He should do very well at that level.

Checking in on former players in the minor leagues, Gavin Dugas and Jordan Thompson were both recently released by the Nats and Dodgers respectively.

Neither seem to have been picked up by anyone else or joined an indy league team.

I personally think it may be time for Thompson to try his hand at pitching.

Dugas retired from baseball after he was released

Really excited to get koa Romero and jordin griffin to campus

With Braswell hitting 94 mph from the bump I would be curious to see what Thompson could hit. His arm was always very impressive.

Just saw that Johnny Giovatella is no longer on staff as the UNO GM. It was a position funded by a government program apparently and it wasn't renewed. But it was mostly a fundraising position.

On a similar note, the rebrand to LSUNO and turning their colors purple and gold is stupid.

UNO should drop down to junior college athletics or NAIA since Loyola is now moving up to DII

any decent player they have will end up in the portal after one season

I've said it on here before, but that program was bleeding money. Dean stepped down because they were tens of thousands of dollars behind on his pay check.

In the same breath, things were going much better from a $$$ standpoint under Johnny. I saw his tweet. I'm surprised they axed his spot.

don’t think he makes it, because I think he eventually signs for less but if he’s dead set on 5 million like some are saying….. could be a nice little draft day surprise.

if he came he would still be pretty young with 3 years of development next time he’s draft eligible.

everyone in HS is a strike thrower.

none of these guys walk 8 a game.

It’s when they have to realy locate pitches to get past batter that the issues come up.

but you’re also not going to go far just throwing strikes if your don’t have good stuff.
