To me if you had the opportunity to be assigned with a DSA then why not do it.

It’s been a year since I looked at the DSA rules, but from what I recall, the downside was DSA’s got a special transfer portal period opened when they were named a DSA. I believe this was not that long after the official transfer portal period had closed. So if you were solid with the player, I would think you would name them as a DSA. If there was some uncertainty if he would now seek a transfer, then you would probably pass on naming them as DSA.

I’d be shocked if Guidry wasn’t back. He’s the epitome of a 4yr program player

DSAs were part of the House Settlement that implemented Revenue Sharing and roster limits. The judge in the settlement wanted a grandfathering in to protect current players from losing spots because of decreased roster limits. Any player already on your roster were guaranteed a roster spot that didn’t count toward the 34 if they were named a DSA. Incoming freshman for ‘25-‘26 could not be named DSAs. Once named a DSA, that designation stayed with a player until they ran out of eligibility, even if transferring teams.

I know its a loop hole to have more players on the roster but I am ready for this shite to be over and just have the normal 34 player roster. Feel like this just extends every year when you expect it to be over.

Proposal from the MLB.

Would be interesting. How good is our '27 class at the top? I wonder what the impending lockout will do for that class.

He was the first to come to my mind.

I have a hard time believing the MLBPA would agree to all of that.

Jordin griffin said he would be coming to campus regardless on where he was drafted

You’d still have 8-9 guys that are higher draft rankings than him that more than likely would be signing pro. But yeah griffin wanting to play football too helps us with him regardless if these new draft rules happen or not

He was expected to get to campus, but it's nice to know we have another LHP on the way in for sure.

Enjoy the bus rides kid. If you’re scared to compete you’re better off in the minors

It would make my day if Santarelli and Davis pull their names out of the draft.

I like Davis. I like all 4 of the OF commits if they were to called on to play early, including Roberson. I actually really like Roberson. The 3rd OF spot, with the roster as it stands, will be interesting. It may be the only real position battle, and could be a platoon anyway.

Was listening to Jason Armstrong video. The most interesting thing he said was that Sides does could make it to campus. Who knows but we have a shot

Sides and Blomker would be awesome.

Still got 4 more lefties in this HS class that could make it to campus. Spencer Evans making it in would be nice.
