The most important thing this offseason is still developing the guys you have on this staff already. Too much talent for those guys to play the way they did.

I think people don't realize just what an improved defense behind these pitchers will do for them. Especially in regards to pitch calling.

I think the best thing to improve the pitchers are to let them pitch aggressive and attack the zone. The attitude will help also.

Defense is going to help them pitch more aggressive. Catchers need to improve as well.

Just the couple of games in Hoover we seemed to attack the zone a lot more than we did all season.

Sheerin and Garcia are long shots. Schmidt, Hirshkorn Sides are long shots. Rumblings that Nawrocki would like to go pro.

Nothing is certain to after the draft. I would be excited if we could get any of them.

This is the problem a lot of the "just add an elite arm" crowd seems to forget.

None of Evans/Moore/Schmidt are voluntarily dropping out of the rotation in their money year. Hood is already in the fold. It's going to be almost impossible to add another "top arm" to the roster.

I agree. It's their money year.

It's a risk, but it is correct. Invest into the position players and maybe more into the high school.

The pitching will be a strength. Attack the zone, changes the pitchers attitude, lowers pitch count and lesser free passes. It might make it easier on the catchers as well.

Would this work in our favor as well? I’d assume Jay wouldn’t be afraid to move them around in their money year considering they won’t be coming back?

State added a guy who said he owns the last 3 outs. I think he was the closer for Memphis.

Not every great arm wants to be a starter.

We lost Fontenot, Cowan and likely Sheerin, Garcia and Guidry.

Its all back end guys and we need to replace. We need some closers. I agree with you.
