How is everyone feeling about the 2027 class
Seems luker, Lee, griffin, Romero, and downs will make it to campus

I wasn't too impressed with Luker and Lee in person. I know Luker had a great year, and Lee seems to have a ton of potential.
Romero is a tank. I'm curious what we value as far as pitcher/position player, and at what position. He's not bad on the mound, but his bat talks. And he can catch, play corner infield, and probably corner OF.
Griffin is a dude.
I didn't see alot of Downs. I know he's an incredible athlete, though.
Littleton has a ton of potential in the limited time that I saw him.
I think the state may have a few more 2027s that we show interest in.

Per the bald one we might be hearing news about Wachs soon

I think Florida and Texas are also in the picture for Wachs.

Who would you take out of Wachs, Solitaria, or Hochkiss?
Posted on 6/13/26 at 8:22 pm to LesnarF5
Hotchkiss is no longer an option. Solitaria is borderline not an option. Wachs is realistic.

Too high. I have no idea what our budget is for this offseason but I have to believe 90% of what’s left is allocated to the HS class.
You’ll be happier with 2/3 years of Washington, Murphy, or Davis than you would be with 1 year of Hotchkiss. That isn’t even taking into account the chances of landing Santarelli, Adams, Weinstein, or Nawrocki just on the position side.

I will take the chance to mention Roberson again. He's a very good recruit.

I’d think we still have a pretty decent budget left to allocate for pitching staff portal adds wouldn’t you think?

Take the numbers with a grain of salt but Roberson 6.3 runner and 97 mph arm in the outfield. According to his profile.

Jay is now on Wachs as of this evening
Posted on 6/13/26 at 9:25 pm to Cottonport
I think at most we can add 2 more portal arms. Jays going to have to make cuts in a few places to make numbers work.

And Thomas Allen, RHP La Tech FR
3.54 ERA, 48.1IP, 34H, 19 ER, 15BB, 49K, 1.014 WHIP

Jay mentioned that he doesn't budget for high school. This was mentioned a couple of years ago. I have a hunch he might budget more this year.
Maybe another OF, Wachs makes sense. Maybe two more relievers. Pitching numbers are tight and the rotation is already on the roster.

Wachs shows good speed down that first base line. Seems to hit to all fields. Stay on him Jay.
