Ware barely pitched in 2024. There just really wasn’t time this year for him to develop. I’d like to see him with another offseason at lsu

51 K's to 27 walks. If it was the reverse that would be incredible.

Guy can hit, but that would be my concern as far as translating. Can he stay at 2:1 with higher level competition?

Arambide will play, Pearson will get a chance somewhere, and Simpson should be serviceable at worst, but there doesn’t appear to be a lot you know you can lean on from that side currently.

yeah Arrambide, Pearson, Milan when we need righties,

the next class is pretty LHH heavy too. i think Patrick and Serna are the only RHH outside young. a LOT of Left hitting infielders

No, it’s 51 bb to 27 k. He’s been in for 6 days according to his Twitter. LSU isn’t following him

Well then...that's promising. The slash line someone posted in this thread must be wrong.

That is outstanding.

I'll believe anyone stealing significant bases at LSU when I see it. They acted like they were going to steal more this year and didn't. Stanfield and Brown could have stolen 20+ bases if they wanted to incorporate the steal. Why would we expect anyone else to come in and steal bases?

We actually stole 51 bases this year compared to just 39 last year. Purely numerical not a big increase but that's a >30% increase in stolen bases YoY.

Jay is never going to be about stealing bases here. Like if the Dayton kid came here i would expect 10-15 max SB still from a guy like him.

We were sub 72% as a team in SB this season, even Jay would tell you he doesnt love that success rate and hates running into outs.

Look again to see incredible. Lol. I had to double check myself before posting because I thought I had it backwards at first.

Completely disagree on Noot. He has a unique release and we saw him touch 97 mph this year. He has barely pitched at this level. Seems like he just needs innings under his belt like Shores did. I don't know that he has first round potential either, but I could see him making a big jump at the college level next year. Wouldn't be surprised to see him have a big summer. It felt like he was getting really close to turning the corner

Even the small increase in steals is deceiving. The majority of that was in the pre-conference when they were trying to incorporate it. As soon as the games started mattering they abandoned it almost entirely.

This little mini discussion caused me to wonder about strikeout numbers for this team and previous years and led to me discovering that freshman year Alex Bregman played 67 games and only struck out 25 times the whole season.

Landon Victorian is in the portal from Oklahoma. I thought he would get a little more mound time than he did there based on how he threw in summer ball last year. He probably could use some JUCO time to get as many innings under his belt as possible.
