It’s their closest possibility of getting a non track championship…

But they keep dropping the ball…

I live amongst them, they’re an insufferable lot

Are they starting to get a little frustrated with Van Horn up there? High hopes every year only to be let down. They've been upset in the regionals/supers 3 of the last 4 years.

it has to suck watching Vandy, Miss St, Ole Miss, LSU and Tenn all win titles when Ark had some really good teams recently
on top of that Fla and Aggies were both runners up last two years

The outliers are, the hardcore baseball fans are currently following him till he quits.

They’re frustrated as hell but still think he’s got one coming.

When we win another one they’ll go insane

Arkansas to not win it in either 2018 or 2021 with the teams they had is extremely disappointing

Jay mentioned at the CC meeting last night that two of the teams that we had scheduled for non-conference weekends backed out on us over the summer and they had to scramble for replacements.

This makes me a feel a little better about the schedule. These weren't our first choices.

I wonder who.

there are so many teams west coast teams that are now in conference that have them traveling across the country every other weekend. I bet a few travel budgets are stretched

Shane Sdao of Texas A&M will miss the 2025 season with ligament repair surgery.

You think someone could take some pictures of the renovations going on inside The Box. With all the videos and cameras we have now you would think some college kid would sneak and take pictures.
I have several that were taken yesterday. If it wasn't so much of a pain in the arse to host and post pics I'd have already posted some. If someone wants to put them up shoot me an email address and I'd be happy to share

Thats a pretty huge blow for them.

They returned their hitters but their pitching is a pretty big question mark for them and Sdao was supposed to be big for next season. Getting Prager back was huge for them but they still lost Tanner Jones who threw nearly 50 innings for them last season, Cortez threw 65 innings last season, Aschenbeck threw 75 innings, Sdao threw nearly 50 innings as well.

They also lost Badmaev who threw 24 innings and Perry threw 20 innings.

A ton of innings to replace basically with only Prager looking like a big time guy for now. Myles Patton is the question-mark from the portal coming in. Good numbers but at Long Beach St last season. If they can get a lot of out of him, then they might not be in as bad a spot pitching otherwise. Lampkin has thrown a lot of innings at A&M but hasnt been that good.

on top of that the pitching coach is at Texas
I don't know what to make of Jason Kelly as new pitching coach, hard to judge him at LSU because of lack of talent on that staff

He's a good pitching coach.

Agree Solo. He didn't have much to work with that season, but got it done despite not having any high end pitching prospects or LHP.

Does anyone have an update on Sheerin’s injury? I forgot to inquire Monday at the Coaches Committee meeting.

Yea that’s a big loss.
Sdao had a 2.95 ERA and 1.05 WHIP last year. 49IP 55K 9BB.

Just playing around a bit and noticed a few things. 13 California players in the top 30 HS recruits for 2025 according to prospects live. That's a lot of talent and they increasingly want to play in the SEC. It's not a bad time to have a West Coast connection. We currently have 5 Cali guys according to page 1 of this thread. Three of them are in that top 13.

I also noticed a lot of left handed bats in this class, 7.

I don't recall OF Moss being our top prospect but he is now. Perfect game and Prospects live have him as a top 10 HS player.

RHP Marcos Paz came in at 25. Had TJ that maybe had him under the radar a bit but is a top prospect.
