Do we think Jay is just reinforcing the LHP or that he knows that he is going to have some(Ware, Primeaux??) leave that are on the current roster?

Building, regardless. I just don't see anything in Primeaux at this stage of his career. Really good high school lefty. Cooper Williams and Conner Ware are elite arms. Plog could be a factor next year.

Was he ever tied to lsu outside of Twitter?

Seems like Jay made his move to fill his infield quickly with Dardar & Simpson. While I do hope these are plug & play options, you have to wonder what the backup plan is should they fail

Maybe.

OR

The wishful thinking of my brain wants to believe that he passed on Advincula now that Ace Reese "might" be an option. Reece at 3rd, Dardar at 2nd, Simpson/Pearson at 1st/DH.

F it. I'm drinking the koolaid

Are we forgetting about Bryce Calloway from UNO? Seems like the obvious 1B candidate assuming he jumps on, love the fact he could even throw some waste innings for you if needed

Reese can play the OF too

But wishing guys into the portal isn’t really my jam. I like the portal, the worse thing about it is the fans though.

Per Ryler Smart’s twitter account, he first started throwing post op in August 2024. Surgery while he was still in HS. Should be safe to expect him to be fully recovered come start of next season, February 2026.

He didnt pitch at all this past season but started throwing back in Aug 2024 after surgery? When was his surgery?

I mean we just had a guy with 80 k's

swing and miss is going to be part of some guys who hit for power, the near .400 average means its a lot of quality contact when he gets a hold of it
