Pierce officially out at Texas coach

I guess they put together the funds for the 2x buyout for Schloss.

We just brought back Josh Simpson to replace Terry Rooney.

Simpson had left to go with Wes Johnson.

This is bigger than it seems. He's going from an on field coaching role in the SEC back to the a support staff role. And he's coming back to work for a guy people say is hard to work for.

Ryan made his first appearance in the Marshalls league last night, against Pearson’s team, but unfortunately took a golden sombrero.

He had enough of Wes' shite too probably. I'll be curious to see what his official title is. Right now it just says Assistant Coach.

That was my first thought. Jay might be “difficult” to work with just from a full effort standpoint, but he’s not a douche.

I appreciate you breaking down the innings that are potentially leaving / returning. Made me look a little further.

Guidry (24.1), Loer (24.1), and Ulloa (23.1) are draft eligible relievers that have a pretty good chance of making it back to campus.

Primeaux (3.2) and Noot (1.0) are not draft eligible and are returning so I could see them giving you 20ish innings especially Noot if he becomes a 4th starter. I really feel that Primeaux will be ready to expand his role as well.

Shores and Anderson will hopefully be 2 weekend starters, so if they live up to their potential, we should be in great shape just with these guys mentioned.

The numbers look bad, but when you look deeper, we still got some really good arms coming back.

A&M winning a title and immediately losing their HC to Texas would be hilarious. I am so here for that.

Also bring me Jared Thomas.

I believe he was originally committed to A&M in high school. We recruited or evaluated him when he decommitted from there when they fired Childress. He opted for LSUE and was good there as a freshman. Kind of out of nowhere he transferred to DBU right before the fall semester started. It was a little surprising, because of the timing.

But he's a guy we've been connected to for a long time.

As a bonus, he's apparently good friends with Gavin Guidry, going back to childhood.

'Scone's insinuating Schloss.

So it's probably not Schloss.

I would assume it will be Director of recruiting like Rooney’s title was . Simpson has a MLB scouting background . He’s a good person and talent evaluator. It’s an upgrade from Rooney imo. You need a person focused on recruiting and added resources with the portal. I had a discussion with a SEC recruiting coordinator at the end of July last summer and he was attending his first high school summer event because he was in the cape. And he told me they had to keep up with the New York Yankees (LSU).

I’m 100% convinced he gets his information from this thread. You could have an entire podcast centered around what you guys bring to the table here

Matt’s not an insider, and according to him, he “never wants to break news” yet is always trying to break news

I think it would be even funnier if they lost tonight and then lose their HC
