Of course we all care about velo. Just dont like the idea of all being ranked by their peak velo, just think its a bad precedent to set to get guys to stress to max out

lol this was game situation...they already have adrenaline flowing and are maxing out.
same with a showcase
99% of the time throwing with high intent isnt the problem and not the cause of injuries...its the weak kids that dont lift, are skinny as frick and have terrible on ramps so they are completely unprepared for the demands.
this even was at the end of the HS baseball season + summer season so being prepared as far as arm conditioning isnt an issue
when you see kids getting hurt in showcases usually 1 of 2 things
off season showcase where kids try & go throw max intent with no on ramp or a showcase right after they threw in a game and they failed to recover full mobility leading to huge strength imbalances that cause an issue on lay back(think labrium tear) or after release (think UCL) and both of these are caused by lack of ability to decelerate efficiently.

Montgomery to A&M
Wonder if Kendall still thinks this is bad for baseball?

@AggieBaseball has landed @StanfordBSB slugger Braden Montgomery out of the portal, he announced on IG. Montgomery was the top player in the Transfer Portal and hit .336 with 17 homers and 61 RBIs for the Cardinal this past season.

Meh. They’re going to need major improvement to their pitching staff if they hope to be better than a 2 seed again.

Such an odd decision. I wonder if he didn’t have anymore intelligence for Stanford so he had to settle

Sounds like competing for a championship is not Montgomery’s priority.
No hate, that’s perfectly fine.

I think some players feel it’s a bad look to transfer to the team that just won it all. Like Durant and golden state

I think his girlfriend transferring from LSU to Texas moved his targets west. He is still closer to home than Stanford, too.

That damn girlfriend. It’s always a lady

Why not go to Texas?
10 months taking direction from Schlossnagle sounds miserable.

I just found out Kucherak has some wheels. 6.5 or 6.6 60yd. Bat seems to be emerging.
