Just being devils advocate, if they have a $10MM pool, they can use 5% ($500K) for Brown, plus the $150K slot. They might have been able to save about $250K on their 5th round pick (Alejandro Rosario) based on rankings and where he was drafted. I doubt they can find much more savings so that’s $900K.
They did draft a High School kid in the 11th, so that’s good news.

The 900K compared to the number Brown supposedly had is not close. That is why I was saying the only way the Rangers have a shot is if Langford signs significantly lower and Brown comes down on his number significantly. Not impossible but I don't think it is likely.

Yep. Langford should not have come down on his number, but there was a clear top 5. Assuming he agreed to 5th overall money instead of slot, that’s an extra $560K. That would bring it to $1.45 Mil, which is late 2nd round money.

I have no idea if Koki is right or who his source is or what Brown is thinking.
It’s just gotten old seeing people keep referring to the tiger emojis when we clearly have newer evidence.
Right now it looks like Brown is coming to LSU. That will change if and when it changes but for right now, we’re good.

Correct, but that is also assuming that every penny of savings goes to Brown. They will likely have other players who agreed to over slot price that they will have to distribute some of it to.
