I don't really know much about Rooney but if Jay thinks he can be a director of recruiting then I'm in.

That has to help his balance while still allowing some really good leg drive for power. Would love to see him as a quality BP contributor next season.

needs to be consistent and cut down the walks! The report on him is he has good stuff but control was the issue.

He was the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator who brought in the number 1 class that helped back to the CWS in '08 and the national title in '09. So he certainly has the recruiting chops. Adding him to a staff that can already recruit at an elite level is pretty exciting.

Hell Yes! Rooney has a MASSIVE footprint, not to mention a strong presence in baseball-rich Florida and Georgia!
