I was checking out Twitter the other day and I saw a post about how Blake Mitchell won the PBR Texas player of the year.
The fact that he won the award isn't what surprised me. As I was looking at the post's comments, the first comment was from current New York Yankees catcher, Jose Trevino, who is having an all star season this year behind the plate for the Yankees. Trevino posted, "This kids a stud....excited to watch this dude's future."
I know Trevino played for the Rangers and is still in the loop with a lot of Texas Baseball, but it surprised me that he was talking about how good Mitchell is.
That kid is going to go very high in next years draft. I wish he'd come to LSU but it'd take a miracle.

Per D1 Baseball’s portal page, Priester is going to Meridian. That’s where he was committed before flipping to us last summer.

Kendall saying it will be a busy day tomorrow for college baseball and somebody asked about LSU. He insinuated it wouldn’t be busy from a coaching POV for us but never mentioned anything about transfer news. Do with that info what you will

Also someone on 247 posted that they have heard from 3 different sources that we are going after J Bob Thomas from Texas Tech for the open coaching position. I know Jay went after him last year too.

Makes sense. We went after jbob last year and he got a raise from tech instead. Coach J also went after wes johnson last year….so….

I don’t really think it will be busy from a transfer coming in point for LSU. Likely just saying it will be busy since it’s the deadline. Lots of players will probably show up in the portal. I’m sure a few will be from LSU.

Garrett Edward was released from his Cape team today. This isn't uncommon, they cycle through a lot of guys on temp contracts. I wonder if he's hit his innings limit for the summer or if he'll go somewhere else to keep throwing.
