It's not just that. LSU's name was being brought up before he was "in the portal" because we knew on this board that Tutko was following him on Twitter, which is the closest approximation we have for making contact.
Less than 48 hours after that he was publicly in the portal. Kendall doesn't have access to the actual portal. Jamie Tutko does. It requires special access and 2 factor authentication. So media guys can't just ride the access of university employees like they used to.
The 48 hour delay thing that's built into the process isn't some obscure rule. Kendall knows it exists.

Me too. I am sure Jay recruited him on the west coast. I have little to no faith on the USM pitcher he is most likely going to Florida. Get Williams and that solidifies our starting pitching.

Texas hired former Baylor coach Steve Rodriguez as their hitting coach. I would really love to know who we are after for RC/fielding. I would say Sean Allen but it almost seems too obvious for JJ.

I have access to the PBR rankings, but I don't know when they've been updated.
He's going to be very highly rated, but guys pop up out of nowhere all the time so I hesitate to say where he will end up a couple years out.

Victorian was ranked #7 overall in a 2024 ranking I looked at the other day. Can’t remember what outlet. We can all but forget about him ever making it onto campus.

yea i had saw the updated PG rankings that had him at 7. he moved up based on how he has been doing with the banditos scout team.
would love to get him to campus if he even decides on LSU, hoping he will. I personally think he is the best pitching prospect out of barbe in well over a decade, maybe ever. Been watching him for 2 years now, kid is a stud with crazy potential.

As long as we don’t have a bunch of injuries then it may just make things clearer for everyone, including incoming freshman that are draft risks
